Who counts the quickest?!

I don't usually count down decks because it's not a realistic simulation of how you see the cards at the table. The times I've tried it, it usually takes me 35-45 seconds.

But the way my hands are, it takes me almost that long to flip the cards without counting!

The best answer I have read and the most realistic in the real world.

i can count down one deck in about 20 secs (personal record)

Shoes are all I've ever played.....but as for counting, this was my first time wonging in and using indices and using the preferred version of K-O.......I tried using hi/lo a year ago but I needed to start off with something simpler.

yeah thats the thing. it's one thing to be able to count down an RC real quick and it's another to juggle all of the other elements of play involved, basic strategy, indices, deck estimation (for hi/lo), true count calculation (again for hi/lo), bet sizing according to the count. then your needing to make sure the dealer doesn't make any errors against you. and you need to deal with your emotions as things go either good or bad during play. it's a lot to do especially with all the distractions going on in a casino.

My better time is about 24 seconds-we should all try to count down a deck in 30 seconds or less-however you don't really have to count any faster than the dealer deals.
