Hello all my name is Michael. And here's my introduction to Blackjackinfo.com. Feel free to move this thread if it is in the wrong place.

I am a 22 year old corrections supervisor from virginia. I serve in the army, and have completed a few tours of duty for my country.

Through my life, I have been naturally talented with numbersense. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide large and small numbers without using a calculator. ( My Definition ) I was in calculus and trig classes starting in the 9th and tenth grade. And college math and science classes before finishing highschool.

I started playing cards when I turned 18 entrigued by the world series of poker on TV. ( A box in which I hate ) I figured out that any card game really counted on the mathematical decisions during the game. And I figured this could be great for me!

A few months after turning 21 I went to Hollywood Casino at CharlesTownRaces in WV the closest casino to me.( 5 hour drive )

After netting about a 600 profit on the holdem tables. I took it downstairs to the fourcard poker tables. Which after a 2 hour session I hit a straight club flush, and ended my session there and went to bed.

I decided to go back to my hotel room for fear of playing without enough sleep, as I know it effects your decisions mentally. I went to the hotel, seperated my winnings in half and decided that the next day I would venture to the blackjack tables. A table that I feared the whole day, due to not knowing the proper math. I feared I would lose my roll.

HTC uses a Eightdeck Hit soft 17 for the dealer. I have seen games from 10$ late night/ early morning. To 100/5000 max tables in the highstake areas.

I decided to learn at a 15$ table, and I consistently never bet over 15$ for 5 hours, I made some bad decisions, and lost around 400 that day. And went home with 1400 in profit. I was ESTATIC.

Being young this is awesome, I didnt need the money however working 6 days a week most week is plenty to pay for my bills. So I stashed this money away.

I have been three times since back to HTC and I have lost money twice in the 900 total range and won about $425 so this left my bankroll where it stands now.

$2925.

My goal is to pursue my Business degree maybe an MBA and move to laughlin, or vegas and deal and play cards. This is a longterm goal, as I am young and refuse to let gambling take away from piling away money for retirement NOW. Rather than later in life.

I am willing to take ANY advice you guy's and gals have. I have a very open mind, and I am willing to take the time to study the game. Put in the hours. And dedicate myself as a student.

With best regards,

Michael
