Out of curiosity, what site was this with? Is it just me, or do you feel like some versions of blackjack are not being inspected properly? For example, I feel that versions like Virgin Games/Monopoly Casino/Gamesys brand are really true to rtp%, while there’s some sport bookmaker’s casinos feel very off sometimes.
Okay, I’ll risk sounding like an idiot here just to make a point. The Martingale system loses because the player runs out of real estate (betting room) and the reason for this question is obvious–but necessary. How many times will you lose X hands before you WIN Y hands. I have done thousands of simulations using basic strategy and I do NOT get the same rate of losses to wins as the chart above–true odds or not. Take it for what it’s worth but the short term (Martingale)–and that’s the KEY–short term, produces consistent wins for me. I’m getting closer to the 6 loss percentage only going to five bets. I’m having to take a stop/loss (limit) about every 47 hands which keeps me in profits. Now before you call me an A**hole–try it yourself and see if it works.
On Chrome, the browser won’t even give me the option to enable flash on this site until the site attempts to use flash, but the site doesn’t attempt to use flash unless it detects in advance that flash is enabled. So it’s a catch-22.
It’s better to use 2-7 against 9-A, than 2-6 against 10-A. The only card that shouldn’t affect the count is 8. This is a superior way of doing it in every way but the insurance correlation. If you want a counting vector that has the lowest correlation to the standard hi-lo, then give 2 points to 5 and 7, 1 point to ace (yes, count ace as a low card), and give -1 point to 10 and 2. Yes, 2 counting as a high card. This has a correlation of about 0.2 to classic hi-lo so will never get you any heat because if they count to see if the count is high when you’re betting big, they’ll think you’re choosing your bet size independent of the count. Unfortunately, it’s only 1/2 as effective as regular card counting. But you might consider it if you find a promotional game. I once got banned from a casino that had a promotion of a 25 dollar bonus for a blackjack in hearts (both cards suited heart, thus 1/16 of all blackjacks will be this) on the weekends. This promotion is enough to completely erase the house edge and give the player a 0.7% edge even without counting cards, if you flat bet 5$, the min bet at the 6 deck game, and give a risk of ruin of 50% with just a 900 dollar bankroll. And so the pressure was off, of counting cards seriously, when you have the edge on the house even without it. I worked this method out afterwards, after being banned, it might have been nice if I had used it to have avoided detection.
In online blackjack, I played 10,000 hands and of all the 12’s I hit on, 83.8% gave a ten. I asked the casino why this was and they told me I had bad luck
Ya feel DUMB bucking the odds. But sometimes it’s NOT so crazy. I have experienced similar results while doing thousands of (non computer) real play hands. My loss percentage is smaller than the true odds would indicate–leaving room for consistent profits.FACT: you’re going to take your share of losses so be prepared. Have the proper banks and a solid betting plan in place. Know basic strategy. Be patient and play like a machine. Set your stop/loss limit. You should absolutely WIN in the end.
What are the thoughts on video BJ? Game King or the one with the almost lifelike dealer? Are these truly random or manipulated?
Nevermind,, I just found it on the backside of the card,, thanks
I lost thirty hands in a row today – but it was online. Is that .526 to the power 30? 447 million to 1?
