Overview
Microgaming is a well-established software provider for online casinos that is based out of the Isle of Man and offers both virtual and live dealer casino games as well as poker and bingo software. Poker
Microgaming powers a number of different poker room on the Microgaming network (years ago this was known as the Prima network). Examples of poker rooms on the Microgaming network are NordicBet, Betsson, Betsafe, Stan James and RedKings but there are many more. One nice thing about this network is that you can get deposit bonuses and rakeback from all of the different networks. Microgaming also has some of the most attractive rake policies of any online poker room. For micro stakes play they have extremely low rake caps. The rake is capped at €0.06 for the €2 big bet (NLHE or PLO) games, and €0.12 for the €4 big bet games. For €10 games the most rake you will pay is €0.30. This is a fraction of the rake cap that you would find on other sites. The rake structure itself is 5% which is in line with industry standards. Unfortunately, the games are also significantly tougher than at some other softer networks and they have recently made some changes that hinder the effectiveness of HUDs.
Aside from the very low rake, Microgaming also offers very high rake back. You can often negotiate a deal for 30% rakeback when you sign up. When you combine this rakeback with a deposit bonus your effective rakeback is over 50% and because there are so many different Microgaming skins you can always be working on 50% effective rakeback.
