Look Kid I'm saying this to be nice to you but if you can't tell the difference between 8 and 10 decks while using a balanced count then you are heading for disaster. Please stop playing the game immediately so you don't lose anymore money and whatever you do don't get anyone else to invest in you like in this other post of yours.BillytheBJkid said:I'm usuing revere count and hilow count. what is unbalanced? what is blanced
It doesn't hurt to ask. Just say, "Wow! That is a lot of cards.. how many decks is that?" But you should be able to tell by looking. Go buy 8 decks and stack 'em up in 2d, 4d, 6d, and 8d stacks... Do that once or twice and you should be able to tellBillytheBJkid said:does atlantic city have 10 decks? they have alot. I thought it was 8 but its hard to tell how many and I dont want to ask.
If you are still playing at the Taj Mahal, billy, then the games you are playing are 8 decks. At the $10 level, all games in AC are 8 decks except for maybe Borgata and of course the 6-5 single deck. It really is ok to ask the dealer, if you want to know. It's not an unusual question that will make them suspicious.BillytheBJkid said:does atlantic city have 10 decks? they have alot. Only people with infinite bankrolls are allowed to play them.QFIT said:I'm still looking for one of them infinite decks people keep talking about.
Pits by the poker room are all 8 decks ($10,$15,$25 tables) pits by the B-Bar are all 6 deck ($10,$15,$25 tables) the pits by casino credit are 6 decks($25,$50,$100 tables). I pretty sure most/all the tables are gone from the pit by the Metropolitan rest. (where the $5 table is/was)kewljason said:All games in AC are 8 decks except for maybe Borgata.
You can say that again. Having learned playing S17 LS, was I surprised to find out how difficult H17 is! It's one thing to see the numbers on a sim. It's another thing to experience the pain...:whip:FLASH1296 said:That H17 rule is ruinous. The House advantage climbs from .42% to .67% — a huge percentage increase.
In general, a H17 shoe game needs either Late Surrender or DEEP penetration to compensate, otherwise it is a high-risk low-advantage game.
I think Lasseter's on the internet used to have one - they conned me in with something like "uses just one deck". So I'm happily playing single-deck for some time until I get 2 Ace of Spades in the same hand :grin:QFIT said:I'm still looking for one of them infinite decks people keep talking about.
what exactly is losing your ass? down 300 units? -$3  Long losing streaks wouldn't be quite so painful.Kasi said:I think Lasseter's on the internet used to have one - they conned me in with something like "uses just one deck". That's when I figured out it was "infinite deck" lol.
Would re-shuffling after every card dealt be the definition of an infinite deck?
The funny thing is I won my ass off thinking it was SD shuffled after every round and promptly lost my ass once I adjusted my BS to infinite deck.
This in a game where one could bet 1 cent/hd
