About 3rd-base(+story)

I like third and first base just because I can see all the cards easier. (the middle is kind of like watching a tennis match) Since most players that think they need a certain seat are ploppies, the P.B's won't think anything about it if you move. (mainly because it doesn't have anything to do,for the most part with the true count). But counters at third base who do things that ploppies get pissy about,will draw more attention themselves there.
Most casinos I go to will deal you out if you go to another game, it is just the way it is.
I have found that if you ask for advice in here, you'll get it, it may not be what you want to hear, but it is advice. If you think you did everything right and they were out to get you, then you shouldn't have asked the people in here. Side note, I wouldn't leave a B.J. game to play the wheel, it will usually will make a bad night worse

As far as playing the wheel, it was just something I figured couldn't hurt; and I never play it normally so it wasn't going to ruin my day as I knew I wouldn't be there for more than 2 or so spins.

Today was a good day playing; I played for a few hours, and at the end of my play was something of interest.

Guy sits to my right and starts playing the min. I'd say some of the table was playing min, some were varying bets a bit. Nothing out of the ordinary really. After 30 minutes, the True Count goes to +11. I was spreading 1-6, and this guy was playing minimum bets for the most part. Seeing his bet out when it hit +11, he was spreading 1-10. Fun fun. Looking at this table probably would look comedic to an AP watching for a few minutes. The count stayed high for 3 hands, and we both had our bets spread out accordingly. After the shuffle-card hit he left. I would assume he got the right vibe also that it might look a little funky to be spreading similarly. Not sure if he left as a courtesy or got spooked that playing at the same table could be bad, perhaps.

And about that rule, I guess to me it just seemed silly in the sense that I can go piss for 15 minutes with a 20-100 units on the table and I know for a fact that seat will still be mine when I get back, but if I don't have that same amount of chips there, and I leave to make 1 or 2 bets 3 tables down, I'm now in the wrong. It just seems like bad business from my perspective; I've been playing a few hours, give me the courtesy. I know not everyone will agree with that perspective, it's simply mine and seems to be logical to me right now.

Not if you know how to do it properly. There are some incredibly cheap cover plays out there, but it would be silly to discuss them on a public board.

I sit at first or 3rd base. While on occassion the 3rd basemight help with Playing decisions, the first is best for cover. Soon as the last round starts, you can play your hand, turn around, watch something else and pay no attention to what is happening at table.

Plus first base is great if you get some next card knowledge before you bet.

I don't like 3rd base for three reasons. 1.) Casino personnel has concluded that card counters like third base because they see more cards before making playing decisions. 2.) both first and third base are sort of pinched in, in many casinos and if someone is sitting in the seat next to you, makes a quick exit more difficult. I like an easy exit when I am ready to exit, even I am just jumping to the next table. 3.) I try to track multiple tables, the game I am playing and a neighboring table, whenever possible. The best seat for doing this is sitting in one of the middle seats. From the middle seats you have an easy sightline to the tables on your right and left, by just minimally turning your head. Because the middle seat(s) sit back a bit, no one at your table can obstruct your view and only one seat at each of the other tables can obstruct your view (next to third base when looking right, and next to first base when looking left).
