Thank you for the forgiving! Some day I shall no longer be a "stupid n00b" .. but I can't ever change the fact I am a female in a male dominated board! I used to think this too, but after working at it a few times I eventually got good enough to play perfectly while drunk, and now it's just extra cover which = more $$$. Plus the value of all the free alcohol adds to your winnings!Koseao said:

But once, sadly enough, I hit a 17 on accident, I was all flustered with keeping count that I was having one of those moments. My players card that stays in my wallet (not giving my name to the pit) is my lucky charm. I tell the pit boss that I always win when my card is not in a machine and this superstition carries over to blackjack. Only until they come over and tell you how beneficial it is to have one and ask to see yours since you're doing so well you want your points!! They all say it like the cards magic and points are gold, but they really just want your name since you're winning. If you say you don't have one, they will kindly provide you with another one. Good points. If you drink already (I do) then the alcohol is free EV. Taking up drinking for cover is a bad idea. Once you start to see drinking as a means to an end instead of a pleasure unto itself, you are at risk of alcoholism. All the bad drunks say "I drink so I can..." "I drink because of..." Only when you can say "I drink because I enjoy a drink, and the drink I don't enjoy or that does me detriment, will never go in my mouth" are you in the free and clear.SleightOfHand said:
