Any special "magic" item?

Essentially, if you are drinking purely for cover, and wouldn't have been drinking otherwise, It is -EV because you are paying the tip of the drink that you otherwise wouldn't have bought. Also, any mistakes (if there are any) are caused by the drinking, more -EV.
Ken Uston is one of several pros who have advised at least light alcholhol has helpful to counters, steadying their nerve and loosening their inhibitions for cover act. zg

I used to think this too, but after working at it a few times I eventually got good enough to play perfectly while drunk, and now it's just extra cover which = more $$$. Plus the value of all the free alcohol adds to your winnings!
I can do this to a point, but then my counting begins to suffer. I can still play BS though. I will sometimes just play BS when I've had too much to drink. I figure it adds to my cover, and it doesn't cost all that much because I don't do it often.

I think it's better to avoid drinking, since all those calories go straight to the waistline, and I haven't figured out how to do aerobics while playing at the tables.

I was just wondering, we all know that nothing can make you any better than you already are BUT is there any item that makes you feel like you are lucky or play better? Any weird superstitions? Just thought it could be interesting to find out ;)
I collect watches , so when i win big I use the same watch in the next sesion.
After a minimal statistical study i conclude it dont work but well i still love my watches

I wear the same underwear after significant wins. I too have found no statistical link, but I have also found there is positive EV at the laundry. After a significant loss, they go straight to the laundry for a number of reasons.

 I think that says it all. Make sure to take extras on your trip, just in case. If not for you, for the other guys!

Any dealer that deals fast or has a tendancy to put that little card they have very close to the back is instantly my favourite dealer. I will beg the pit to let her keep dealing, as she is my good luck charm. Never works but me look like a degen in the eye of the pit.

lucky charms

I like to keep a rabbits foot in my pocket for good luck but more for camo then anything else. It's great to whip it out and exclaim the power of the foot when your big bets pay off in a high count and you show the bunny foot.

camoflage

You have to bear in mind this is just a camoflage and does not reflect the true views of the player. I've gotten away with alot of moves that would draw attention to my play if it weren't for the foot on the table. Zg has mentioned chanting at the table or rocking back and forth works good. There is a few links in this forum that deals with charms and luck and such.

I find that very true for most other "hobbies." All the musicians, myself included seem to think we play a little better with a few drinks in us, not to mention hit on women with less inhibition. It is synonomous with popeye's spinach.

The worst part is that if you are legitimately drunk, you probably will never know if you made mistakes. This is why try and limit my drinking to max. of 1beer/hour. I don't think I have ever had more than 2 in one night though. I can't stand second guessing myself wondering if I made 100% correct plays.
I ran some sims and my calculations show that you guys are lightweights.

1(beer/hr)=sissy.

True Story

Several years ago, after a long hard day in the office, I took an evening flight to Vegas (from the east coast) to attend a convention starting the next day.
I was flying first class and attempted to drink the difference in fares between coach and first class with the free booze.

After checking into the Sands, I remember going to the casino, taking down a $1000.00 marker and began drinking heavily again. Thats about all I remember, except I know I had a great time, laughing and talking to the dealers and other players.

The next morning, I awoke in my room, and found 24 $1000.00 chips in my jacket pocket, a $23000.00 profit This was,by a factor of about 3, the best session I ever had.
