Anybody seen any 6 Deck games with good pen?

Haven't been to Vegas since last summer, but the penetration in 6 deck games seem to be bad all over. Thought that BJ21's list isn't very accurate either. Anybody know of some good 6 deck games? I'm surprised someone got backed off at Gold Coast. :eek:

Um, there's 1 deck cuts all over the place. I believe there's still a half deck at one place.

Sorry I thought it was implied from being in the vegas section. I've been out of the game since last summer and I have a trip planned to vegas. Last time I went the bj21 info seemed stale, and did not see any half deck cuts. Just seeing if anyone has noticed anything good. You can message me if you don't feel comfortable replying ! Thanks!

I was talking the color of the Building, not chips. lol But you are correct $25 tables are better.

You might want to look past the 6D games at that particular casino; I haven't been there in a while, but they have had some 8D/H17 games with amazing pen that easily made up for it.

I ended up just getting the stupid thing. I guess it's not really that they have stale information, everything just changes fast ! I noticed that some of the shops I "discovered" with good pen were listed. Damn it.

I haven't done the precise sims for it, but I really think that the 8D, H17 is so terrible that it would need to be dealt past the 1-deck mark to make it worthwhile from a straight-counting perspective.

But then again, what I consider straight-countable is 6D, H17, LS, RSPA with pen better than 1.5 off.

There's a lot of unjustified bias against 8D/H17 among counters. It certainly requires more pen to beat the SCORE of a 1.5/6/S17 game, but sometimes that's exactly what's available. Less heat may also be a factor.

In this specific case the pen was consistently to about half a deck, making it a good deal better than the standard (good) 6D/S17 games on the strip. And with a good dozen or two tables, opportunities were ripe.

Half-deck off of an 8-deck shoe is straight by me, even if it is crummy H17, NS and nRSPA. For the most part, though, I really think the bias is well justified. The extra 2 decks just along with H17, NS and nRSPA absolutely kills the SCORE.

Me too. I hate 8D. But it does get dealt past the 1D mark. That's when an exception has to be made.

8 Deck SCORE

While we are on the subject, does anyone have the score for 8 deck for the most common versions, i think ds, ls, rsa and various pen levels? I don't have BJA on me right now.

I did some quick sims a few days ago on the infamous 8D, H17, DAS game.

Zen, plenty of RA indices, spread 1-20 optimally, wong at -3, enter at shuffle:

7/8: SCORE = 34
7.5/8: SCORE = 60

Although it is completely a matter of opinion, SCORE = 34 is not good enough for me.
