Yes, exactly my thoughts! Fortunately I had some leftovers laying around so I only had to buy the paint.Homeschool said:Wish I would've thought to make my own chip tray, those things are pretty pricy for what they do.

I got them from Amazon.de ( the German site), nothing special, around €23 for 500 chips. That's the article on the US site: http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Cat-Holdem-Dealer-Poker/dp/B0003I68RS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1243251176&sr=8-1ChefJJ said:Very nice table, Nightspirit. Mind if I ask where you bought your chips from?
Take a look at Tarzan's avatar. He made it himself, like Sonny.pvtcarter said:I used search and tried google. I would like to make an authentic looking BJ table for my basement. Anyone have plans or can provide a link. Also, even if you don't have plans, please post some pics of what you have. Thanks
Nice job. Was this the Gambler's Fallacy DeLuxe model you made? :cat:Sonny said:Plans?! You don't need no stinkin' blueprints! There's only two kinds of people who use blueprints: Idiots...and people who know how to read blueprints. I'm neither, and my BJ table came out just fine. It even doubles as a minibar!

I have actually begun taking the walls off to fix the padding under the layout because of the heat...something went awry with the adhesive I suppose. But I started that yesterday and should be able to get everything back together and get back to practice. Unfortunately it'll be a while yet before I get around to making chip rails and the finishing touches...but I'm practicing and playing, so that makes me happy :grin:nightspirit said:How is the progress of the craps table you are building Chef?
Thanks Chef, sorry to hear that something went wrong with the adhesive. I used spray adhesive for the padding under the layout, hope I don't have to do it again. For the walls I used double-sided tape for the padding under the fabric but I don't know for sure if that's a better solution.ChefJJ said:I have actually begun taking the walls off to fix the padding under the layout because of the heat...something went awry with the adhesive I suppose. Again, nice table!
good luck
I surely will! As long as you are as patient as I am  Just finished completely overhauling the kitchen in time for a couple other big projects...but I always find time to either practice on the table or get a little more done on it :cool2:nightspirit said:Hopefully you show us a picture when you finished your table!
Pretty solid work MP! Even the dealer has a cupholder! The old aquarium stand looks perfectly for the table.MoneyPlays said:Nice Blackjack tables everyone. Here's one more for you to look at.
I got started with the plans here: http://www.buildyourownblackjacktables.com/
Not the greatest plans but it got me started and I just made it in a way that was easiest for me. I used an old aquarium stand for the base and built a rounded front to match the curve of the table.
Practicing is much more fun with a casino style table.
Now...where did that dealer go?
I would check out Ebay regulary, sometimes they have some really nice layouts there for decent prices (mine was about €20).airborneinf82 said:tables all look great! any good sites for some of the fancier table felts?
Thanks NS, it was a fun project. The dealer cupholder is because at this table we allow, no, encourage the dealer to drink. Makes for better payouts. :grin:nightspirit said:Pretty solid work MP! Even the dealer has a cupholder! The old aquarium stand looks perfectly for the table.
Nice work, you too, MP. No ashtrays? Must be only healthy APs allowed there. But I think you might need to call the police. Your chip tray seems to be one purple light. Any suspects on video?MoneyPlays said:Thanks NS, it was a fun project. The dealer cupholder is because at this table we allow, no, encourage the dealer to drink. Makes for better payouts.
Wow, good eye Kat. You know I thought the same thing, but evidently the purple chips are ever so slightly thinner than the other chips. It makes it appear that I'm one short.Katweezel said:Nice work, you too, MP. No ashtrays? Must be only healthy APs allowed there. But I think you might need to call the police.
