Assembling a Bank Roll

My first rip to Vegas to play Advantage BJ, my bankroll for the entire eight day trip was $850. I played $2 tables spreading 1-6, and remember splitting 8s with a $10 bet out and drawing a 3 on one hand so I had $30 on the table. Won all three and was sure I'd been made as an AP.
That's both very humorous and relatable. Did something similar playing $3 BJ tables, and was worried about spreading to $20 bets.

Of course, now when playing the $3 tables, I'm so very tempted to spread from $3 to table max. Never did that... I mean, how silly would it be to be made at a $3 table and get your photo taken?

(Alright, go ahead, bring it on - all the criticism about what are you doing at a $3 table.)

You are not the first youngster with no job and a little money to come here and try to make it into a handsome amount through BJ gambling. You won't be the last either. So like others say a realty check is what you need.
It's not just youngsters who have a misconception about what CC means. There's also the person going through a mid life crisis who just wants to get out of their dead end job, dead end marriage, life, whatever, bet their savings, for their chance at total financial freedom, and move to a beach front house with the winnings! Doesn't happen like that.

Then again, it's not just new CC's. I hear this from the ploppies at the tables, too, who are gambling away their life savings.

In reality though, your photo taken doesn't mean ****.

I used to be scared of that too, but after being flyered a few times and still playing with the same name at other places I stopped caring.

If I get backed off I get backed off. Worry about making money first, managing heat comes after that.

It's people recognizing you that's the biggest threat. So if you're spreading black at a joint with a good game, don't blow it spreading min-max on a $3 game. If your main game is the $3 game, then do whatever you want.
