You are mistaken. Several casinos offer $5 tables on some weekday mornings up to 11am or noon when business starts to pick up. I have found $5 tables at Tropicana, Trump taj, Bally's Wild west in the last month. Also, showboat was advertising that they always have a $5 earlier this fall. I dont play there as the low limit tables at most of the Harrah's Properties are hit soft 17 which I try to avoid, so am not sure if this offer is still valid.

its probably good that he learns hi-lo anyway incase he plans on moving up to level 2 or level 3 count.

Not sure I see why it would be any harder to move "up" to a level 2 from a balanced system like HiLo than KO. Except perhaps the RC to TC conversion.

The books should arrive wed. hopefully. ive been practicing counting a single deck, im down to about 30-35seconds. (closer to 35 and im 100% right all the time).

To improve the speed, you have to practice two card combinations. So instead of flipping one card at a time, you flip two cards. It is not only faster handling the cards but also make counting easier, because often one small card and one big card canceling the count to zero, if you use level one system. It is also a more practical way to count at the real game, since every one gets two cards at the beginning of the round. Instead of paying attention to every card when it is dealt to the table, you would just need to take a look at the full table and add up the multiple two card combinations after all first two cards are dealt.

My Powerful Card Counting Practice Method:

Carry a deck of cards in your pocket and do this at frequent intervals during your day. e.g. During commercial interruptions on T.V.; while waiting at long stop lights; upon arising and before going to sleep; while your coffee is brewing, etc. Use your imagination to employ otherwise 'dead time' during your day to polish your skills.

Remove a random 2 cards and set them aside face down.

Run through the deck face up.
[No point in having to flip them over.]
Run through them one card at a time.
Predict the hand that was removed.
When you can do this quickly and accurately proceed to doing them 2 cards at a time.

Predict the hand that was removed.
When you can do this quickly and accurately proceed to doing them 4 cards at a time.

Your goal should be nearly perfect accuracy with 20 second countdowns.
If you cannot achieve 99% accuracy in less than 30 seconds, keep working.

Spend several minutes practicing this, (in your car or in your hotel room or rest room), immediately before taking a seat at a blackjack table.

You will soon develop the skill to scan an entire table full of dealt cards and know the count - even with a Level Two Count - quickly and accurately.

I have RECENTLY seen 5 dollar table on weekday nights at tropicana, and borgata, i havnt really been playing anywhere else lately, I did make a stop in at trump plaza to confirm that it is s17 which it still is and verified that they indeed have "low limit" blackjack tables in their poker room, i would not be surprised that they are 5 dollars at times.

In the past i have seen them at hilton

In the past primarily in the am-noonish hours, i have seen them in the am hours at EVERY casino except ceasars.

i was just saying that it would be easier to move up from hi-lo since he'd already know TC conversion, so it would be 1 less thing to learn when hes ready to upgrade. idk i just think if its possible that ur gunna be doing a balanced count later on then it is probably good to practice TC conversion in the beginning than to put it off till later
