Backed off

I just got backed off for the first time. Will other casinos have info on me? I got over confident. I felt if they haven't noticed after the amount of time I have been playing there they would never notice as long as I wasn't wining a large amount of money at one sitting and I wasn't betting high enough amount to be of any concern. My cover I would always drink a little enough to get a little tipsy. Then I would just act like a complete drunk to the point where everyone was laughing at me. Funny thing is my max bet was $35. When they pulled me aside and told me I could no longer play. The lady who had been playing at a couple different tables with me that night left and cashed because of that. She had around 500$ she was playing with. She wasn't even playing correct bs. Jokes on the casino!

What city? Small stakes counting doesn't alert other casinos. After 60 days you can even return to that casino but go to the other shifts. zg

Reno, they said I could play other games just not 21. This pit boss the night before kicked someone off the tables for using the F word!!

Its nothing. Go back in 30-days starting on a different shift. And use a friend's player's card for different name. This will teach you not to be over-confident and play too long. zg

What do you think of this.. One dealer at this casino I could not beat. Everytime this dealer jumped in I would start losing. When dealer left I would start winning or going back and forth. This happened more than once with this dealer.

If you don't know how to spot a cheat - 1D games in Reno are more vulnerable - don't play him. zg

Two -

Cheating at BJ by Dustin Marks (there's a DVD too)
Cheating at Casino BJ by Bill Zender

The main giveaway for me is when he peeks at the second card, but then the one's I've caught probably weren't that good.

I caught a half a dozen or so in Reno over the years, so its probably more widespread than that.

Whatever you do, don't alert the casino. zg

Oh man I hate that! Nothing pisses me off like a morality lecture from someone in the gambling industry. These people wouldn't care if I lost my life savings at their table and went and committed suicide, but they care if I use profanity.

One of their dealers cussed a couple times earlier in the day! They explained different words have different levels the F*** word is worse than sh*t and dammit.

Where did that rule come from? Of those three words, "f***" is the only one that refers to a good thing. Next time I go to Reno, I'll have to go through my vocabulary of profanity with them and ask which level each word is on.

The only non-gaming related thing I've ever seen a player removed from a game for is chewing tobacco. The stuff is banned in these parts because they're afraid they will spit it about.

Would you explain why you would not alert a casino that you suspected a dealer was cheating? Would you tell the Gambling Commision?

You'll only cause yourself trouble since you probably won't be able to prove the dealer is cheating anyway.

I think it might have been the PB's rules.

Why would a dealer bother to cheat? Its not like they get a cut of the money.

Do these books teach a player how to cheat too?

Dealers cheat - deal seconds - because their stats are monitored for anomolies. If they are dumping off a thousand a day to a confederate they need to cover their tracks by winning an extra thousand per day from the other customers. zg

What kinda things get you banned? I mean if you win $200 and go back in a week and win $200, will a casino kick you out. Once I'm ready, I plan to go to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and don't want trouble if I win a couple hundred bucks.

I saw the "breaking Vegas" series on the History Channel and of those folks who used strategy (not cheatting) seemed to win a bundle from various Casinos before they got banned. From the original post, it sounds like just winning a few bucks can get you in trouble.

Gee, has anybody ever been banned from an OC? If so, why?

Nobody will give you a second thought just for winning 200 dollars. That is basically nothing to the casinos so you shouldn't get any attention for winning such a small amount.
