Sooo, at what point DO casinos take notice?ScottH said:Nobody will give you a second thought just for winning 200 dollars. That is basically nothing to the casinos so you shouldn't get any attention for winning such a small amount.

I can't answer that question, but if you're playing low stakes the casinos don't pay that much attention to you. Of course it depends on the casino, so it's different in all cases. But I dont think any casinos would get worried about someone winning a couple hundred dollars.ranran said:Sooo, at what point DO casinos take notice?

Ever play at the El Cortez?ScottH said:Nobody will give you a second thought just for winning 200 dollars. That is basically nothing to the casinos so you shouldn't get any attention for winning such a small amount.
No I havn't. I was just assuming that MOST casinos dont worry about a couple hundred dollar win. But what do I know, I'm just a newbie!shadroch said:Ever play at the El Cortez?
Actually, this place isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Maybe getting rid of those filthy brown $25 chips cleared out their brains. I've coloed up for $300-$400 on several occasions and they still love me there. I've cashied in for $500+ and they don't seem too worried. They still keep a close eye on their players, but you just need to show them what they want to see.shadroch said:Ever play at the El Cortez?
The poor dude got booted from the Siena for $25 playing red . Go figure!ScottH said:I can't answer that question, but if you're playing low stakes the casinos don't pay that much attention to you. I tend to play at casinos you need to hit and run. They are the ones with the best games usually. My BR is still small, so I need to find every extra adv.ihate17 said:That first backoff coming as a shock is not unusual at all. As Zengrifter said, you can go back under another name or no name after a few months but you also have learned something about this casino. Plenty of places will not bother a counter with a max bet of $35. They are smart, they know he can not hurt their bottom line and they know the possible cost of a scene (the lady who left). This casino (if there is no more to your story) is following every cent and probably has a pit that camps out when a bad player gets lucky and his chips pile up. A little checking in the areas where you play will give you a good idea of which casinos a player like yourself could play with no worry, or let you know where you must hit and run.
