I don't think Norm disrespects your effort to provide a free simulator. When he responds to you he is simply pointing out where your analysis is flawed. You could interpret his responses as a free constructive business consultation.bjsim said:Than Norm from QFIT should respect the effort that BJSIM put into building a free simulator. QFIT seems to post negatively about BJSIM almost every time.
One of the reasons he can respond to some of the points you are making about the usefulness of your free program is that as far as I know, Norm has been writing/coding and selling statistical based card counting information/software for decades. He has a substantial informational and competitive advantage against probably any new entrant into said market. He is not worried about competition from your software.bjsim said:Maybe he does not like the future cometitions.
When he responded to you about the small number of rounds, it was in reference to the fact that a small number of rounds may not be sufficient to reach statistical significance. In other words, if you do not go beyond a certain number of rounds when attempting to draw a specific conclusion, you may arrive at an incorrect interpretation of the information. This was not negative disrespect, this was pointing out an error you are making by thinking you may have proven or gathered something with too small a sample.bjsim said:QFIT should stop focusing on the small amount of Rounds.
What you are doing is what many of us who are drawn to blackjack have done. You are researching about how to improve your game, and in the process trying to help others improve their game.bjsim said:Thanks.
That is correct.
Bjsim does not focus too much on counting. The main focus is what to do with Split and Doubles. For Example I am findin g out that split 8 on 10, A does not works most of the time.
well, here is an example for cvcx.bjsim said:BjSIM is diffrent than QFIT. Bjsim is in intial staging and focus clrealy on simulations and capture stat qhile QFIT look at it from mathmatical point.
BJSIM may even try to simulate only one weekend at vegas and show what can happend in one weekedn.
Can you run the same simulations from QFIT and compare the results. Thie is a lot of people who want to know the results.

Bjsim since you are asking to hear from members, I have made an observation which concerns me from reading all your posts. This is not a personal attack on you but is meant as constructive criticism. Your spelling is atrocious and I'm not expecting you to be a grammer scholar but what this says to me is that you lack attention to detail and this concerns me with your programming. How do I know your code won't be filled with bugs and errors which might give me false data? I apoligize if english is not your first language.bjsim said:Bjsim will be developed more. This is my hobby and Baby.
The question is to what direction. The goal of BJSIM is to improve all levels of BJ PLAYERS while offering it for free. $ will be made from adverize.
(I already make good money from Software developent in any case).
I do not want to develop it as QFIT since QFIT IS alrady their and it did not help me to improve my game in a practical way.
However i would like to hear from members here what you think could help you the most to know about BJ and can be done in http://www.bjsim.com

I don`t think so, for a weekend warrior cvdata and cvcx is a must (BJ is a complex game), I start at BJ in January and Qfit software really helps a lot I also have SBA to compare ( a lot more complex a lot)bjsim said:I just took a look at QFIT. It is still different than BJSIM with diffrent goals.
However it is complex and have no value for average BJ player in Las Vegas.

You could have bolded "apoligize" and "english", as well.21forme said:Pot kettle black

It is simply impossible to create correct results with so few hands. This is particularly true with strategy generation. Sorry, but your results have no meaning.bjsim said:Qfit is more developed and more established. However BJSIM is unique.
1) It has the simulation Online - Nothing to install on your PC. Available to everyone without even login.
2) It is absolutely free.
3) It will grow to be the huge free Database for simulations. I am considering allowing some users to run simulations of Millions as long as they will agree to post them to the public. By the end of the year BJSIM will have couple thousands of ready simulations that can be accessed online within 1 second.
4) I am also considering votes on the best simulations.
5) It will be up readers analyze the results and make their own recommendations.

but norm (!), can you tell me what can happen over a weekend in vegas??? :laugh:QFIT said:It is simply impossible to create correct results with so few hands. This is particularly true with strategy generation. Sorry, but your results have no meaning.
If you would like to see the SCOREs of many strategies, I have posted the results of 150,000 two Billion hand simulations with hundreds of millions of combinations of input at http://www.card-counting.com/blackjack-data.htm for free. Select the first Launch button.
Yep. Anything.rukus said:but norm (!), can you tell me what can happen over a weekend in vegas???
