Cage mistake and what would you do?

No one gives a shit if you play rated Zee they take exception to you pretending to have good advice to give to other players.

What you should do though, is even though you’re way over 30, go to the HS property near Louisville, and ask the security at the entrance to scan your ID anyway. And then go ahead and play, and report your experience.

Thank you mcallister! None of us care what Zee does. Most have given up attempting to help him quite a while ago. I had a little more patients and tried to help him a little longer than most. But that's OK. What isn't OK is that he is now repeatedly stating that the numerous, successful card counters and AP's that advise not playing rated, are out of touch and have no idea what they are talking about and instead new players should listen to him.

And what is really bizarre about that is that he just recently suffered either a fatal or near fatal blow and doesn't even recognize it and is still telling people to do it his way, as he lay dying.

Kewlj, please stop distorting.

I have met or communicated with AP's who are not black and white about this issue. Some play rated for the comps, stay at the casino that comps them, give them some action, avoid substantial wins, maybe book a slight loss, play at other casinos anonymously. I have started doing this.

You live in Las Vegas, I have lived in a one casino town and another with 2-3 casinos and they know you whether you play with a card or not. I played with one.

I am NOT advising newbies, they can make their own decisions. I am reporting my own experiences. There are significant benefits to playing rated (and it's not just the comps) that helped me while I was getting better. Perhaps the time has come for me to be more selective.

My expenses for a trip to Lax Vegas (usually 3 days and 15-18 hours of actual play) includes RT ticket ($200), car rental ($100-$140) and meals ($100) are significant for my stakes. Adding hotel rooms would make it hard for me to visit there or other places.

Yeah, one of us is distorting things. Either you are forgetful or dishonest, but I will refresh your memory.

I dont know whether I can trust the advice of pros on forums on playing rated when they have not played rated in decades and dont know if being listed on OSN really effects small time players like myself.

I am just relieved that they were mostly wrong in their concerns about OSN effect, back offs and such.

To newbies and the like, this forum provides good advice on all AP topics (counting, BR, etc.) except on playing rated and using players cards. I would still say that using a players card is not harmful and the small comps are still beneficial. .
The above quotes were all posted both here and at Norm's forum as you tend to duplicate posts for some reason. o_O

In addition there are several other similar posts by you at BJTF, recommending new players ignore the advice of the professional players, because they don't know what they are talking about. I am not going to post the quotes out of respect for Norm, because he doesn't appreciate that, but if you want to continue to play dumb, I will post the exact words and thread, date, and time, that you issued this bad advice to newer players on numerous different occasions. One was just recently because Stealth and others commented that you were giving bad advice.

He has no choice. He was born that way.

Then there's Don's classic, from another thread, and Don has the patience of a saint:

it takes a special breed who, when told they will be burned, flat out counter with: "You don't know what you're talking about. Fire used to burn people, but it doesn't anymore." In my opinion, those people are ineducable and deserve whatever comes their way.

Update. I was playing at the warfarin when the cage supervisor came to the table, waited till the round was over, told me that the cashier had erred and paid me $500 extra. I said so that was why I had more money in my wallet than I expected after my last session there. I returned the money.

Good, exactly as predicted, and I think your excuse was reasonable. Probably not a great idea to detail all this online though. (Though I highly doubt his specific store is reading this.)
