The only way to make money playing BJ online is through bonuses. (It may be possble through tournaments, but that's for another thread.) If you live in the US, forget it for now. Bodog, the biggest one now available for US bettors has such a stringent play through requirement that you'll never clear your sign-up or any other bonus. If you live outside the US, maybe-but I doubt it. Casinos have really tightened their requirements for bonuses.
Thanks for your post and re-affirming that
"Bonuses" are the way to go....Something I would never have thought to be so predominant in the online BJ community. At least I know where to focus my attention!!
Here is a post I came across from another player in Canada who's currently having some problems with Bodog, it's a quick read if ANYONE is interested(?) other than myself:
Hi folks,
Recently Bodog became available in Canada.
Thought I'd let you know that I'm having no end of problems with cheques from Bodog. I recently had a good run and withdrew 3 times. (Took a couple of months to get the first cheque, they froze my account because I needed to "verify" and somehow that took 3 attempts, funny they don't need to do that to take your deposit but that's another story. To be fair, the last cheque only took 4 weeks to get)
Upon taking the cheques to the bank, they tell me that:
1. It's going to take six weeks before they credit my account
2. It's going to cost me $50 to cash each cheque.
3. I definitely got the feeling from the teller at the bank that I was being suspected of fraud. She said they needed to "investigate" the cheques.
Seems that they neglect to imprint the cheque with the coding at the bottom for account numbers etc.
Customer Service is very prompt, they answer every inquiry, lot's of sorrys etc. But they never say they'll do anything about the issues. I kind of get the "sucks to be you" feeling from them. I've made withdrawals from other sites, and never had this kind of frustration.
Thought I'd let you know, maybe I'm just unlucky.
As you can tell I am at the
very BEGINNINGS of this possible endeavor, Now taking that into consideration and my residency being in Canada....any suggestions as to where would be a good starting point?
Thanks all,
