So I havent been gambling much like I used to. I got backed off from a indian casino in 2006 since that time, i have visited this place a few times. Last night I was playing having the normal up and down swings of the game. I went from being down 800 to up about 800. After three hours of play i go to cash out my chips. $1480, $1000 was my original buy in. Problem... can i see your ID? ok so i give my ID. this was strange at this dollar amount. Waiting... Someone else comes he shows them the computer screen, says im banned from playing and he doesnt think he can pay me.... So I wait until the head guy comes. He explains to me that I was knowingly banned and that he isnt going to give me my money. I told him i was told not to play table games four years ago and that i have played a few times since then with no problems. I told him that they willingly let me play, and he said well you just snuck by. he still says he isnt going to pay. I was completly shocked and angered at this point. I said," If you dont pay me my F'ING money there is going to be $hit storm coming down on this place. He Turned and pushed his chest into me and yelled, "ARE YOU THREATNING ME, WE CAN THROW DOWN RIGHT NOW!" I told him no and that most of the money was mine and asked him to review the tapes. He ended up paying me my original $1000 I cashed in with and denying any of the money I was up. He then apoligized for "getting off on the wrong foot." so bottom line is they kept my $480 from me, and made me feel like a criminal. IS there anything I can do here. I never imagined a casino would keep the money.

And why would you show it?

Though you don't have any other options.. I'd similar problems in vegas casinos . I doubt there is anything anyone can do here.. I got my money back with the help of some HighRoller ploppies.. You could have requested them to return your chips, now it's helpless...
I am assuming you are carrying a slip now, that they have your 480$??

Lawyers will be very expensive for 480$, but seems like a good option..

Which casino are you referring to? Can you PM me the details?

Name the place, although I think I already know.

No need to protect them, what they did was an outrage.

Jackkpot Junction, ive been backed off from other places but didnt know they would stoop to this. I have my original buy in in cash. Player beware of indian casinos. Maybe i will try small claims court. I wonder if they have done this to others.

I totally agree that what they did was outrageous but I wonder how successful small claims would be - they did tell you not to play table games. Does anyone know if he'll be successful?

Contact this attorney as soon as possible, before the casino can claim that they no longer have the tapes:

Robert Nersesian

It appears that although the amount of the actual robbery was only $480, Bob really gets a kick out of these types of cases. He can not only get your money back, he's been known to win six figure PUNITIVE damage awards. If you're telling us the truth (and I have no reason to believe you're NOT), I wouldn't be one bit surprised if your case falls into this category.

I particularly did not like the threat leveled at you.

However, the barring on record gives them an argument against you.

Better to forget about it unless you desire to take it to Tribal Court.

They told me i was not allowed to play table games four years ago. However I have played a few times over the past few years with no one saying anything. I could have been "banned" every day for the last 100 days and kept coming back. The bottom line is they accepted my bets last night. Once that bet is accepted they are obligated to pay if I win. If they would have came up to the table a hour earlier when i was down $500 and told me to pull my bets back, cash out and dont come back.. Fine I have no problem with that. If I would have demanded my $500 back I was down would they have paid it back? Of course not I would be laughed out of the casino. It isnt even about the money, this is just wrong. What if they would have kept all my chips. What if someone wins 20k and they decide not to pay that.

If yes, then you are one lucky guy. hire an attorney..
If no, forget about the money. It'll get you into trouble.

Of course Native casinos have kept chips from teams in the tens of thousands and never gave them back or repaid them.

The fact that the big guy was wanting to throw down with you right there and then says it all. Take this to Tribal Court or to the Feds, but on the Res. you are truly at the mercy of the tribe. You should know that being where you live and your history of barrings.

Your win was a 50% return on investment in just a couple of hours, rather nice, and I am sure you are very skilled with a large BR. That tribe did not like you and was out to show you disrespect to prove a point. My guess this was all planned in advance as surveillance had made you... betting rather large in a smallish casino, you stood out.

Doesn't this contradict many of your postings about the honorable and noble race of native Americans? Such as this one from a while back

Why should they pay taxes,,,????....they are a sovern nation.

When you do play show them respect, you are among a noble race that once owned this entire land. Honor them.

I understand that it only takes one bad seed to spoil everything and its unfair for me to paint all Native Americans as unethical but its obvious that Tribal's often try to hide behind this sovereignty crap to not only break laws (such as outright stealing money) but also violate peoples basic human rights such as physically assaulting them for doing nothing more then playing a game skillfully. Its outright disgusting!!

FWIW my experience at Jackpot Junction is that they often require ID at a real low threshold. I seem to remember losing and trying to buy in at only 2,500 or 3,000 for a double down and they wouldn't allow it without ID. Obviously this had nothing to do with your case but just a heads up for others.

jackpot

this is F***ing BS. I really hope this gets elevated to a higher authority. I have a golf/poker/BJ getaway planned at jackpot in the coming days but im strongly going to reconsider given these allegations. I really dont like the idea of patronizing a casino and its lodging/golfing facilities for hundreds of dollars if they cant afford to lose $500 at the tables. Maybe they should just close down completely cause their obviously not comfortable with the whole "gambling" thing. F*** that.

I'm now glad I have never gambled at this place.
That 480 bucks should be the price they have to pay for not catching you sooner.

You are not outright suggesting painting all Natives with the same brush, that is fair of you. There are bad apples everywhere.

The truth is Cass was Barred and anything he did in that Native casino, after that barring, he did with great risk with full knowledge of the consequences.

As to the holding of chips, the team that had that happen to them instigated the action by their very own actions which invited the situation that transpired only as a last resort on the part of the tribe.

The Tribes offer some of the finest games anywhere, let us honor them and give them credit for that and let us not go for the throat when playing there. Given their history can you blame them for not appreciating someone attempting to put a Brock Lesnar chock out on them??

Hmm, I would really think about going to court because of this $480. You can do it if you want to prove your point but not for the money, the lawyer will be cost much more than 480 bucks and the outcome of the trial is not known. Maybe it's better if you forget about it and aviod the casino.

Abuse Probably Will Be Corrected

I think the Supreme Court recently ruled against the thought of Indian lands being totally soverign nations?

If they abuse enough customers they will be corrected through the courts or government action.:joker::whip:
