For those of you, who are always inquiring about low limit tables in AC, I wanted to mention that 'the big B by the inlet area' had twelve $10 tables open during the afternoon today, in addition to their 1 $5 table. They were scattered throughout 3 different pits in 3 different locations and were all 8 deck games, but low limit never the less and all s17 at that. Plus they were quite a few empty seats.

Perhaps part of the reason for the empty seats is their switch to 8D games. Cause and effect...

Maybe I'm naive, but I don't see ploppies giving a flip between a six deck and an eight deck game. I've never heard a single non-counter say they won't play a game because it is eight deck.

I have, just like a lot of ploppies won't play CSMs.

I personally am ok with a casino offering a slightly worse game at the lowest of limits. That's the price you pay for playing lower limit. In this case 8 decks at the $10, $15 and some of the $25 tables, but 6 decks at some $25 and highers. At least its still a decent s17 game, unlike some of the other places over on the boardwalk that have h17 low limit and s17 higher, or require an ante for low limit. Or in vegas that have 6-5 low limit but 3-2 high or CSM low limit. Those are just too high a price to play. And in this case some of these 8 deck games are superior to some of the remaining 6 deck games because of pen. Of course the trade off is a slow game with more players.

And they are beatable, better played when not crowded, and grandfathering is the rule at that location.

They opened that pit at the W.W.W. and they made it into a low limit S17 area? Is this the first low limit table at any Harrah's property that S17?

Playable BJ at Ballys

Last week I saw $25 Six deckers with S17 — on the main floor at Bally’s.

They actually had signs on the tables stating that they were Six Deckers !

The penetration was variable but better than expected - probably averaging about 1.5 − 1.7 decks cut off.

I will be there this week and I will report back as to the presence of, and conditions at, WWW and Bally’s re: S17 6 and 8 deckers.

4 hands vs 3

I think (hope) Thunder was joking about the 4 hands vs 3 Aslan. Most AC casinos let you split 3 times for a total of 4 hands while some only let you split 2 times for a total of 3 hands. I know Trump Plaza only let's you split twice. I don't really pay attention though because the rule only costs you 0.01%. Not really worth worrying about.

They did something similar last Spring. There were 3 tables right outside the HL pit that were S17 6D (same as in the HL pit). Min was usually $25, sometimes $50.

On a related note, I recall early last summer, Caesars was building a night club or something near the midshoe entry pit by the Boardwalk entrance. There were BJ tables there that were. Do they ever get used?

Flash I think you saw incorrectly. I was just at Bally's yesterday and the 6 deck games they did have were H17. There were only one or two of them at $25 min. Trump Plaza though has gone back to the way it used to be and had some decent 6 deck and 8 deck S17 games. Beware though as there are dealers there that can count. I was genuinely shocked though to find one game in AC where there was no joke, 87% penetration. Needless to say, I jumped on that like stink on manure and made a nice amount. I was further helped by the fact that I only saw the count go negative maybe 3 times in about 12 shoes. AC though is history after the summer. There were very few people gambling compared to years past in the summer.
