Composition dependent in 6d & 8d

Is there any advantage when counting and using indices to use CD plays in 6 & 8 deck shoes? I can see CD strength in SD and DD, but unless your keeping side counts of multiple cards (ex: 5s,6's, 7's, T's, A's) how would you gain from it?

If you're using index plays then you're already making composition dependent decisions. You don’t need the CD BS.

I do not remember any CD indices in RPC unless I missed something or do not understand what I have read. In other words, as an example only, whether I have a 7-2 vs, 6-3 v, or 5-4 v, the total of 9 is always handled the same way when using index plays.
If someone used only BS then CD would apply no matter how many decks are used.
Would that be correct?

Thanks for your reply Sonny.
