Ok so what are the values of jokers? :laugh:Mikeaber said:LOL!!!!!
The concept of counting is simple. When the deck you are playing with has more face cards than low-value cards, the deck will produce more wins for the player. So, you "count" the cards by assigning a value of +1 to the high cards (10 through Ace) and -1 to the low cards (2 thru 6). In most systems, 7, 8, and 9 are counted as zero. You keep a running count and divide that running count by the number of decks left to be dealt to the players resulting in what is known as the "true count." Basically, when the true count (TC) is positive, the deck is rich in cards that will produce more wins for the dealer. When it's negative, the dealer has the advantage.
Jeeze...someone came in and edited that <LOL> Thanks for the correction Rookie. You are of course absolutely correct.rookie789 said:Just a clarification of a typo by Mikeaber; Basically, when the true count (TC) is positive, the deck is rich in cards that are favorable (should produce more wins) for the player, not the dealer as posted. Sorry Mike for the public correction, I know from reading your posts you're an accomplished BJ player, just didn't want casinozone to be confused.

I really botched that entire post up didn't I? Jeeze, I think I'd better stick to something other than casino games <sigh>.JeffMa said:I am guessing this was a typo on your part, any 10, J, Q, K or Ace is -1 not +1. You want as many 10 value cards & Ace's in the deck so when a 10V or Ace comes you that brings the count down not up.
10 through Ace would be -1 and 2 through 6 would be +1.
But what do I know![]()
