i guess i'm still trying to figure this free odds thing out.ok, i sort of understand that. lol.
but now after a bit more experience i'm begining to understand callipygian's cautionary note about taking odds.
shwew, the dice really do seem to have eyes and the swings can be horrendous.
how i'm understanding it is that well of course taking free odds doesn't help one way or the other as far as is the point gonna be made or not.
but on the other hand the free odds bet doesn't carry a house edge one way or the other, if you win your paid according to the true chances of making the point.
i guess that's right. so i'm not sure but just say the house let you make a free odds bet on some point with out having to have first made a pass line bet. so does that mean that in that imaginary case the free odds bet would effectively be as fair a bet as a coin flip sort of thing in the long run?
