This has happened to me three times now. I play at this local casino once a week only. But after 6 months, it seems that all pit bosses know I am a good player and won most of the times. From the way they look at me, I know they all hate me. After I sit down, there is always someone starring at me and watch my play closely. So now I only spread 12 to 1 here (this is a shoe game) and switch to 18 to 1 when I am sure I am leaving when the shoe ends.

Even so, this happened to me three times in the past month. When I placed max bet $450 or $400 and a ten was supposed to mine, the dealer skipped my hand and gave the ten to the next player. And then the dealer called the pit boss who came and ruled to invalidate the round in all three cases. It does not only eat up all good cards in super high count, but also take away my three good hands (20, first card 10, first card 10). In some cases, other players with good hands did protest, but no one can change the ruling. What would you do if you were in my shoes? I did not protest hard because I hope to keep playing here.

When it happened the first time, I thought my max bet made the dealer nervous so he made a mistake. But now it became a pattern, I think the casino may have trained the dealers to do so, when a ten came out, give it to the next player then they don't have to pay out a big winning hand.

You MAY very well be correct. The dealer turns the card slowly and can easily see whether of not it is a high card in a split-second and divert the card to the next player.

Obviously, you are toking the dealer little or nothing at all !

If I were you I would no longer play at that casino.

The natural question is … If they are seriously concerned about your play, (and your level of betting WILL raise serious concerns in all but the largest of casinos), then why have they not just barred you from playing?

With that said — I know of only one casino that will cheat a player rather than 86 them.

If I were you I would no longer play at that casino.

You are right. In the three cases, I was losing so I did not tip at all. Normally I only begin to tip when I am way ahead and know for sure I will be a big winner no matter what. I do leave a good tip when I leave table most of the times.

Also, the casino just had their table games open months ago. They still don't know 86 is an option. I haven't heard it happened here yet.

I've seen a very similar situation happen. My teammate was playing a matchplay coupon that was for any amount up to the table max which was the amount he played. Dealer had to call over the floor to OK it since it was table max. Dealer starts dealing out the cards with the pit standing right there and blows right by my partners spot and deals the ace that my partner would have got to the next hand instead. Of course my partner complains and the floor calls it a dead hand. Next round proceeds normally as my partner gets a stiff hand. I'm pretty sure it was intentional as this casino was sick of all the players playing table max coupons.

I feel sick, sad and angry thinking of it. This reminds me of a friend who never lost on Star Craft Online. He told me his secret. If he knew he was about to lose a head-to-head, he rebooted his computer so the on-line server thought his computer crashed and never booked a loss.

But you have to admit it is very smart of the casino. Not only it takes away a big winning hand from AP but might drive the AP to play somewhere else.

If a dealer skips you, bring it to his attention immediately- as in before he deals another card. There would be no reason to call a hand dead if you do so.

I did yell but he was determined to divert my card to the next player so he just played dumb and ignored not me but other players. And I argued with the pit boss that it is a very correctable error since we knew the sequence of the cards. But the pit boss said they can't move cards around and this has to be a dead hand.

Not a good plan if you value playing there at all. You'd be 86'd quite quickly.

BJgenious, I know the place you play at. They know about 86ing AND they know a lot more from the other property they operate. Your getting screwed. Do not take it anymore. Next time it happens, tell them it's bullshit. It's happened before and your cheating me.....then threaten to contact the gaming commision.

First time is an accident, Second time - 50-50 , third time - It is a plan. Why can';t you call gaming - give them the date and time , let them decide if it was pre-planned.

That was going to be my first comment. My second was in the first instance why did he want a card on a twenty. I guess he was going to split but he didn't say that. Sheepish behavior when abused by the casino is the final nail in the coffin of typical and expected AP behavior. Be loud make a seen. The first might have been a test that had you passed you may have had more longevity there. That kind of spread is going to kill longevity anyway. If this was a really good game you made a horrible mistake by being greedy. Big spreads are only REQUIRED for bad games.

You should always protect your longevity in the best games with a conservative spread and shorter sessions at a bet size smaller than some at the table if possible and not posting specifics that the casino can make your identity from. You made some money but probably would have made much much more if you thought about these important aspects of being an AP. What do you think going from 1 to 16 rather than 1 to 18 is going to accomplish. I doubt they even noticed. You should have gone to 1 to 8 or just stop playing for a long time. Look at the other players bets. If you are betting the largest top bets you are screaming look at me, look at me.

Had he kept quiet on the twenty at least he would have got to play a winning hand.

My second was in the first instance why did he want a card on a twenty.

In one case, I received a ten as my first card, then the second card was supposed to be another ten, but it diverted to the next player. In the other two cases, my first card was supposed to be a ten, it diverted to the next player, so I received no cards at all.

Also there was a similar incident. I received two tens alright. Then the next card was a three. The dealer pitched it to me. I was thinking "What the hell. You found a new way to ruin my perfect 20." The next player was unhappy, either, because he needs that three to make 11. But that error was corrected promptly. There was no pit boss involved.
