Do not deviate from your strategy

Show me the mathematical proof that you beat the game of BJ solely based on a betting scheme, and I will buy you dinner at the place of your choosing anywhere on the planet.

Hey it's vood00 where anything goes lol. In That vain -

All picasso said to me was "I have played Blackjack now for a very long time employing many progressions (mostly the negative progressions) and I have a lifetime profit."

He does not mention how "long" is "long". He does not mention how many individual progression systems he has played for how long within that period of time. Or mention size of roll, etc.

Perhaps not much different than a CC employing many different bet-ramps over many different games with many dif levels of pen over a fixed period of time, maybe even re-sizing at some point or not, and, maybe, still, have a "lifetime" profit.

Can you show a mathematical proof that the fact you happen to be ahead at some point in time is becasue you are a skillful card-counter?

Also, he mentions (I think - was it picasso?) he plays on-line where limits are low and rules so good it's a fantasy world anyway.

I have no idea how long he has played, how he has bet etc. How often he used whatever "progressions".

I have no problem he is still ahead and completely believe him. Voodoo is supposed to win often lol. I'd bet if the guy chose to only flat-bet the min amt from this point forward, it would take a really really long time to "lose" money.

Just rambling for discussion's sake lol.

What do you mean that the game is not beatable with progressions alone? I up my bet based on my count. At a certain number my bet will go up and at a certain number my bet will go down. I am pretty new so my base bet is 5. So are you talking about if I continue this path I will not be able to make a profit? So far I have done well, but I am always wanting to go up. If my counts upwards of 30 should I screw my plan and bet more than the scale I set should? Sorry if this makes no sense, I am new and trying to sort it all out :)
OK , Ok ,this is the right post. May I suggest you play at the crap table while you are learning bj and forget betting systems . They do not work in the long run. The only one I have ever played around with is the 1&3 system ,but thats only if I'm running a even count & I have used it on the crap table ,but found it made very little differance in the long run. Now if somebody can tell me how to overcome the house edge of %.50 in craps . Pogo
