Does anyone know if...

Is the Griffon Agency completely out of business? I hearing they went bankrupt because of a series of lawsuits initiated by James Grosjean. Is this true? If so, is "The Book" still be added to (i.e.: are new volumes being printed)? Is there a new agency that is acting as a psuedo-replacement?

I tried doing some research on the net but this subject seems to be pretty protected. I'm wondering because my thermometer rises every time I walk into a casino now. I know it's not paranoia. I'm hoping that some information is just being circulated among casinos in my area. If that's the case, I know I can lay low for while and obtain another identity (legally). But if I'm in some sort of worldwide book, I'm fracked.

Griffin is still in business. They are still actively updating the book but not many casino employees take it very seriously because it is not very accurate. Most big casinos rely on their own surveillance department and internal lists. The smaller casinos still use Griffin because they don’t really know any better. There are people in the Griffin book that can still get a game so don’t worry about it too much.

thanx Sonny

Good pep talk. I mean, it sucks that they are really still in business but my suspicions were that casinos usually obtain there own dossiers and don't share very much with others. Your comments back up my suspicion. I guess I'll just lay off my local casinos for a while. I really don't want to take my wife's last name. Even in modern America, it still feels just so immasculating.

Tread Lightly Less The Griffin Gets Burned Again

I bet Griffin is now reluctant to list card counters in the same section as cheats.

Haha! I've never thought of that. Wife's last name. Brilliant!

Yea well...

She thought of it. She is keeping her last name for the time being. I dismissed the idea right away. Then she said I wouldn't have to pay a lawyer or go court or anything. They (beaurocrats) would have to let me have her last name just like they would have to let her have my last name. Then, if I time it right and do it right, I could have two identities for a long time.

But still dude--immasculated!
