A 20k win isn't a "low level" win. 99% of the players will have less than a 20k win, even the high rollers. You just had the + variance of a lifetime.

Surveillance in most cases will not save the play of a counter unless the house took a large beating. With the days of old, we had video tape and a ton of VCRs which made taking video tapes out of rotation and shelving them for counters costly and inaffective. I've worked stores that had a 25K pull and others were 50K and above.

Today many casinos are digital. This makes the saving of video and images easier, but they wont bother for a counter (especially a low end counter like were talking abouut here) with each return trip starts a new evaluation.

If surveillance needs to, they can obatin your name or players card information and pull up the dates you played, length of play,wager, table, B/I and cash out, ect.

...also, any notes as to suspicions of card counting, etc.

Always wondered if they do note this, if it shows up on the computer displays on the floor. I do get on occassion to see the screen. But only lists things like name, B/I, etc., Expecting to see a big red blinking light "Danger! Card Counter" next to my name Anyone else noticed?

I've seen it. At the place in the AC Marina that used to be all 6D S17, once when I was checking in to my comped room, I noticed in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, it said "Confirmed Skilled Player" in red." I guess the hotel didn't care.

AC has laws protecting counters from discrimination by the casino. Laws can change so Im not sure if the casino lobby has got more favorable legislation passed from their perspective. I always had great luck at the Marina and Harrahs. The other side of the coin I always had horrible luck at the Showboat. I dont think Ive ever had a winning session there.

I guess the Showboat must cheat like Bodog. Sorry couldnt resist the tongue in cheek comment after my real AC casino comparisons. I just read the Bodog thread. Luck is a funny thing.

I think I read a post from the exgriffinman but I know it was posted today. It said there was a category for suckers , a category for perfect BS players called confirmed skilled player and a third category called AP.

AC casinos cannot bar you for being a skilled player. They CAN and DO take away your comps. I have had this happen to me MANY times in AC.

I can confirm this. Once I read a "Casino Player" article. Harrah's sort Blackjack players into these three categories with the following comp:

0.3% for suckers (Non Basic Strategy players).
0.1% for confirmed skilled player (perfect Basic Strategy players).
0.002% for AP (card counter).

Normally if you bet $1000, the casino give you one comp dollar. If you can't accumulate comp at all, you have been put in the AP category.

By skilled player, I assume you mean AP. BTW, do you think it is legal for them to take away what you have already earned? Whether they do it or not is a different issue, and I believe they do it.

You may buy yourself a very little bit of extra time with heavy cover, but you aren't going to win the war at that point. Better to cut your losses and live to fight another day. Get out as quickly as you can.

I cannot disagree with your logic... but if there was an exception to your rule that session was it. zg
