First Backoff

Cashing out after backoffs

There's an infamous casino formerly on the Strip that I played really hard, until I was getting shuffled up on consistently. Took a few K out in less than an hour. When I cashed out I figured they'd be pissed, so I feigned a nosebleed and from the time I walked up to the cage to the time I walked out the door, I had a cocktail napkin pressed over my face.

did you disassemble a blackjack table while there?

then you don't know if they have RFID scanners.
They are in the table - NOT THE CAGE.

They don't need them at the cage, they are counting the chips with their eyes.
They ARE in the cage - I saw them and asked about them and the cashier said that's what they are. She said they just use it to double check what they count. Not sure if they're in tables but it didn't seem like it.

at the table, they use both their eyes and the rfid scanners - if installed.

I was talking about the cage :joker: Chips were place on the counter, no special black tray. Granite Counter top. Counted and payed. Take it for what its worth.

Wynn's people reported that they would be using RFID chips.

Maybe this will clear up some of the confusion. Here is an article written right before Wynns was opened.

purple chips are

$500.00 chips , orange or pumpkins as we call them are $1,000.00 chips , blue are $5,000.00 chips , and silver gray are $10,000.00 chips - never had anything higher and I have seen different color schemes at different casinos .I was told they have 25/50./and 100 thousand dollar chips but they are only in the private high roller games and never see the general floor of the casino . One PB said you can not even request them if you color up 100 purples or 50 pumpkins and that was at the Mandalay Bay only time I ever asked !

The only time that I've ever seen RFID chips read is at the table. That is by no means saying that they don't do it at the cages too. Typically the scanner only reads about a 3 to 5 inch diameter around your bet. So, if you got'em in your pockets your probably safe. Usually (and I mean usually) the system is pretty much only used for tracking and adjusting comps and such.

As far as backwood, off the beaten track Indian casinos goes...watch out in some of them. They don't like to mess around and they're not bound to follow all of the laws like some other places have too. Also, many of them are making the big bucks now and they're not afraid to spend a little of it on top notch equipment and the people to run it for them.

Good luck.
