I`m going to count in my first casino tomarrrow. I have been practicing for months and I can count a single deck in 22 seconds consistently. I use hi-lo I'm not sure the exact rules. I plan to buyin at $200(replentishable) at a $5 table and wong out at realy negitive counts.

Any advice or suggestions?

don't wait for "really negative" counts to wong out. wong out at -2 or -1 or hell even 0, +1, or +2.

also, always feel free to call the blackjack pits at the casino and ask what the rules are...

do you have your betting schedule set in your mind already, ie what bet you will make at each TC? if not, have this settled before you go.

don't go tomorrow or do but don't play. scout the joint or call them and get the rules, tables environment, crowding, number of decks ect.
make up a game plan befitting those conditions, basic strategy, matrices, bet ramp, spread, ror. run a sim or find a sim report that's as close as possible so as you can formulate that game plan.

get to your max bet at +5 latest +6 becuase you don't see much higher counts that often.

are you only bringing $200 to the casino? or do u mean like $200 a week replenishable br or do you have a fixed bankroll? i guess i don't quite get what you mean

but better get the exact rules so you know the right bs to play and the il18

Don't buy in for $200 if you're Wonging. Buy in for $50 or so, and put more money on the table if/when you need it. You're generally allowed to double and split from your wallet, so don't be afraid of buying in for one big bet and just pushing all-in when the count goes up.

Busting out (or nearly busting out) also gives you a convinient excuse to switch tables. Just complain about how the dealer never busts and leave in a huff. Most places will force you to color up if you leave with more than $50, so buying in for large amounts can sometimes slow you down or put you on the radar.

The only reason you might want to consider buying in for a large amount is to rathole chips. Buy in for a very large amount relative to the table size ($300+ at a $5 table) and then rathole a green or two right off the bat when you have a big stack of disorganized chips in front of you. If you bust out, rebuy with more cash - never bring the chips back up.

First time I ever heard of a casino "Most places will force you to color up if you leave with more than $50". Please explain. I have never seen this enforced. They might ask to color up but they can not force you to color up. The only thing that is forced upon you is death and taxes.

If you have a stack of reds or greens, most dealers will ask you to color up. I doubt they can MAKE you and probably won't push the issue if you indicate your moving to another table in the same pit. Refusing to color up if leaving might bring you to the pits attention. If you really care, one option is to grab your chips and leave abruptly when the dealer is busy.

Death is eventually unavoidable; taxes can be lowered or avoided with good advice.

It's just a matter of keeping the tray full. If you move another table that just got a fill and you are carrying 20-30 chips that will not fit if you loose it's a hassle. Likewise, they don't want to call for a fill every time 2-3 players leave a table. It's a courtesy for the pit and you don't have to struggle with 2 hands full of chips. Plus, the pit supervision is always trying to track wins.
