Flat Betting - How Many Units?

Coming back to Vegas this year some time. Anyway, I'm planning on taking 110 units with me.

I bet flat and play perfect BS, relatively slowly and I tend to comp-hustle. I'll be playing S17 liberal strip rules games, although the occasional H17 (otherwise liberal strip rules) game may slip into the mix (although I'll probably bet less on those games).

Would 110 units be a reasonable amount for 12 days play, 4 hours a day approx?

You are best off bring ZERO units.
You have a (very) losing expectation.

This is a very lame question.
The more you bring the more you are likely to lose.

There is a game I play, shoe, that is so good that if you count and use indice plays with great skillz and use a 1-4 and bet a rather big unit you can slaughter the game, 6d.

But you will not find that amazing game in Vegas.:laugh:

As to your question I say forget it, but who knows,, as it is possible to get on a run using only basic strategy, I for sure have watched people do it.

I think 110 units is probably enough to likely last through your 48 hours of slow play. It sounds reasonable to me.

Yes, I'm aware its a negative expectation game. I'm a basic strategy player, not an advantage player (unless you count comp hustling).

If you truly know perfect BS and bet one unit at all times, your losses should be no more than one unit an hour, so barring negative variance, you should be good.

I'd say yes... What is your bet? I found out I was able to request a food comp within a few minutes of play... It always took about a half hour to get to me though. I'm sure I could have gotten my whole stay comped within a few hours of play with no problems if I had done things differently. I had about a $65 average bet at most places though. Check out Mandalay Bay... Real classy place, great rules for a $25 DD game too :)

I usually play roulette/pai gow poker for comps. Blackjack on full table/hand-shuffle is also good.

You STILL shouldn't flat bet. You should bet more when getting rated, and less when the boss walks away.

Thanks for the advice. I always make sure to do that. I crunched the numbers from last trip and I know the casino assumes 70 hands per hour on Blackjack. Believe me, I make sure I always play much slower, ask for drinks, make small talk etc.

Thanks for the advice. My average bet is a bit lower than yours but still at the chunky-green level.

That trick is called "Comp Counting" right? I've never tried it but I'll keep it in mind. I just hope if I get caught the consequences wouldn't be big.

Are you sure about Mandalay Bay? From posts here, it seems that place is the sweat shop and pit bosses are sharp and can separate AP from ploppiy in 30 minutes.
