I am planning a trip to Vegas and any info on this hotel will be great for me, I have never played or stayed there.
I play only Double Deck games and my betting spread is $50-$500. According to Stanford Wong's CBJN they have 6 DD tables with $25 min.
Any info on heat, are they having a lot of big bets there? And other info on this hotel will be greatly appreciated.
My main concern is if I will be able to play there few hours a day without too much attention.

Lv is not going to close down their games because you are coming. Don't worry about it go and have fun. They will welcome you with open arms.

The Golden Nugget is by far the nicest hotel/casino downtown including both rooms and restaurants, be sure you check the Grotto for a $$ lunch/dinner plus Vic and Anthony's for a $$$$ dinner especially if you're a rib eye lover. A $100 average X 4 hours per day will comp your room, $125 X 4 hours = LFB, $150 X 4 hours = full RFB ($250 max FB per day) but if this is your 1st visit confirm with a host after your 1st days play. Request a North Tower room at check in.

I'm not sure a 50/500 spread in a DD game will go unnoticed for hours without sophisticated camouflage if you're playing the comp game also. Although I haven't been there in months the Hi Limit room offered better DD rules than the main casino with fewer players per table allowing multiple hands when timely in lieu of a 1/10 spread.

The $25 min double deck pays 3:2 for blackjack. The rules of each game are a little tricky to know, because the only put those little metal signs on the tables. I have played a few different 1 hour sessions with no heat. I watched a guy buy in for $1500 and lose it in 3 hands, if this is any kind of indication of what kind of action they handle!?

Actually the little metal signs are not tricky, they include all pertinent rules for that particular table. Buying in for $1,500 flat betting and losing 3 $500 bets is not an indication of heat that may be generated with a 50/500 spread which was the question. I saw a player flat bet $2,000 per hand in the GN hi-limit room but he did not spread his bets, the amount is not in question the 1/10 spread is.
