For hit-run tactics I would recommend that the dealer flash both the holecard and the next hitcard. zgaslan said:

Around 1980 I am sitting at second base playing pitch, I think single deck.
The dealer is not only flashing his hole but making an overly obvious show of the next card to first base. They definately appeared to be playing together and for a short period of time I also took advantage of the information.
Knowing that if these two got busted, based on how I played several hands, I would get busted with them, I quickly cashed out and left the casino.
You can easily be labeled and even convicted of being a cheat by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I sit into the same situation today, I would exit immediately. Just not worth it, yet I will play with a sloppy dealer with little concern.
