Just a reminder, kewljason practiced minimal buy-in. This is just one component, but I agree, a good one, especially if you will have to walk somewhere susceptible to robbery. You might win big with that small buy in, negating the safety factor, and you might target yourself by giving too much information about yourself on some Internet bulletin board, as kj thinks happened to him.blackjack avenger said:This thread ties in with "how much to buy in for", many reasons to have minimal buy ins.

I don't think it's the buy-ins that target you. The logical place to do this would be at the cage. The cages have the effect of condensing all the cash outflow to a limited area, and the robber or his accomplice can see if you are actually walking with cash, or covering a marker with your cheques. We are among the few people who are going to cash out for several K, put it in our pockets and walk out of the building and down the street alone, which is why I believe we are the biggest targets in the casino.aslan said:Just a reminder, kewljason practiced minimal buy-in. Hey, I wonder if one of those exploding ink packets they use to thwart bank robbers works. On the other hand, I'd hate one to go off in my pants accidentally. View attachment 8025
This is key for a lot of reasons.blackjack avenger said:Buy in for minimal amounts
Pocket chips, openly or rathole
Cash out later or quickly
Get out of casino quickly

LOL, roflmaoAutomatic Monkey said:That scene used to be a lot better. There was a time when if a girl was feeling a little down, she would get dressed up and go out to the bars to find someone to make her feel pretty. Then they invented Prozac.
The elevator cams are turned on, but the brains of the surveillance crew are not necessarily turned on.FLASH1296 said:The elevators have security cameras that are turned ON at all times.
And several people have been robbed while in the elevators in Caesars in the last couple of years.FLASH1296 said:The elevators have security cameras that are turned ON at all times.

When I did go to the Taj, I almost always went with a friend, although I never knew it was as bad as this thread has shown. But it stands to reason-- it is closer to the heart of the neighborhoods, and the parking lot is not connected, is it? We always walked a ways outside to get to the parking lot entrance.tthree said:All these things at the Taj. I am glad my luck has sucked there for so long I haven't been there in over a decade.
