How to Handle AC heat?

And on the other hand, the Hilton probably has the oldest clientele. Hilton is a brand respected by the 60+ crowd, as Hard Rock is by people in their 30's.
I always got the impression that Ballys had the oldest crowd, including the waitresses, who must be the grandmothers of the Borgata babes :)

hilton PC's

About two years ago I had an experience somewhat similar to that described by the OP. I was playing heads-up at a $25 table. The first shoe was pretty uneventful, with very little spreading but some positive variance so I did pick up several hundred dollars in the shoe. While the dealer was shuffling a PC comes over to me and says "don't I know you?", I said "no, i don't think so". He then says "yes I do, you're a known counter". He then proceeds to take the cut card from the dealer and places it right in the middle of the shoe. The dealer was stunned. I just colored up and left without engaging this guy further. I never play rated in AC. It has never happened to me anywhere else in AC although I have been quietly half-shoed on several occasions. i find both Hilton and Resorts to be the most sweaty and paranoid stores in AC but both places are good for quick hits.

The casinos in A.C. can't legally bar you for counting cards. That doesn't mean that they won't TRY. This story doesn't surprise me one bit. I happen to know SEVERAL people who've been barred from A.C. casinos, simply because they were playing at too high of a skill level for the casinos' comfort. When this happens however, the casino usually tries to settle out of court, in order to avoid an embarrassing lawsuit which inevitably results in an adverse judgment anyway.

I can tell you from first hand experience, they will try to bar you but under the guises of other reasons.

Iv had some experiences at hilton on a few occasions, the very first time it started, was when i built up a huge summ of cash, in the past I had played 100 max bets, then 200...then when it hit two hands of 250, I was eventually approached, they stopped the game and shuffled, whe perso who instructed it, told me

"listen, your too good for us, we dont want you playing here"

so I colored up and walked away, he stood nearby and radio-ed my description to somebody I assume to film me.

a month later, I came back, and was playing, and they spotted me, they just happily, and openly made it clear that it was known who I am and that I was hear, but they did it in such a clever mannor that to other peopel at the table it appeared as an overly zealous greeting.

2 months after that, I came back on an entirely different shift, and after I came down the escalator, I was waiting at the tabel to buy chips, and I was confronted and reminded that I had been asked not to play here, so I got up and was followed by a yougn lady who seemed very angry and told me repeatedly not to come back.

some time later still, I came back, and was forced to check my motorcycle helmet, whic I always carry like a purse in every casino, they made an effort to hold me at the coat check, to check it, then upon return they refused to give it to me because i had to wait for the security person to come down to talk to me first, I just took my helmet and left.

I went back last night no problems, didnt play the two deckers, but there are two of them in the low limit pit, and I think at least one in the high limit pit, and they are apperational.

I would have reported it to Casino Control.

Right. They cannot bar you from playing there on the basis of counting. I wonder if a law suit is possible, maybe not in this case, but the next time if he or someone plays his cards right? It may be frivolous, but no push back against the casinos is stooping too low IMO (so long as it's legal). Sorry for those of you who own casino stocks-- you can't have your cake and eat it.

Did it occur to you to just leave and come back the next day to cash in your chips so as not to create a film record identifiable with you?

Not this year, although that's one way to beat the "heat" in AC.

It's going to be very interesting to see AC this summer with competition in neighboring states. The crowding has been stifling recently.

well yeah, but theres so many cameras in any casino, i dont think you can make any valid effort to dodge them even if you came back the next day.

I dont think I could have made any legal moves because i left willingly, they just yelled at me as i was leaving. It was kinda rediculous.

I didn't realize they had a legal right to bar anyone on that basis. Also, can you ever be read a "tresspass act" in AC as you can in LV?

I'm pretty sure the ruling was they can't ban someone for being "skilled" but that doesn't mean they can't cite another reason for banning someone..
