I can only imagine the goodies behind the cut card...

Played some Sp21 yesterday. In one shoe, RC when the cut card came out was +16 (IRC -32.) There were only a few aces that came out the entire shoe and needless to say, I got killed that one.

And some people do not understand the importance of penetration

Sure, there is still the possibility that with good pen a ton of good cards can be left behind the cut card but obviously as the penetration increases the chance of that happening should decrease.
That is why so often just the rules of a game do not tell a cardcounter enough. I find today in the world of double deck especially being often faced with around 65-75% pen in a H-17 game or 50% pen in a S-17, all else being equal and I will take the pen everytime.

I bet you really wish they dealt to the last card on that one!:) On a more serious note, if this happens too often it could mean that you're being cheated.

Who is the Real Loser?

The casinos are the real losers. The deeper they deal the more hands per hour and the more money they would make.

Just played an 8decker cut at 75% which ended 9 above KO's pivot. She cleaned me out.

Then did you try to eyeball track the cutoffs through the shuffle? zg

Yes, it can't be overstated. A bad game with good penetration is a good game. In shoe games where you are walking away from bad counts the effect of pen is multiplied.
