I wanted to address everyone's questions here as best as possible at this time:
Q: Also, if it's a 2% edge, but you have to count a deck then track it, you're only playing at an edge half the time.
A: Ideally, the first shoe is spent on tracking with no edge (other than what you can get from basic card counting), and then each subsequent shoe you would both track and play. If this proves too difficult for a particular method, you could simply change your bet increment every other shoe. If you're playing with green chips when tracking and black chips while playing, most of that issue goes away, and it's unlikely to garner heat if it's done for an entire shoe.
Q: If you can't convince one of them to invest in you, chances are really low that a stranger from the Internet will ... If you have no savings, no disposable income, no friends, and no business connections, I think you're in for a really rough ride
A: We already have capital, and are simply looking for more. I've started many business ventures, but never ask for investments without first putting my own money on the line. You are absolutely right.
Q: Have all the shuffles in Vegas recently changed???
A: There are many different shuffle techniques currently in use on the strip, and they do change over time. Our method picks one of them to exploit, but could be adapted to others. Until we've exhausted our winning potential using the shuffle technique we've already started with, we will hold on picking others.
Q: Do you have a business plan? And do you have relevant statistics, like win rate, risk of ruin, variance?
A: Yes. While a full formal business plan isn't appropriate for this type of venture (there is no product or service, no marketing, no risk of competition, etc.), we have compiled detailed numbers regarding the efficacy of our technique, EV, ROR, etc. Of course, knowing that our EV is a 2% gain, you could easily calculate numbers like ROR yourself.
Q: are incorporated ? Were ? What type of business ? Name ? Corporation ID numbers ?
A: We're an S-Corporation in NY. We do, however, wish to remain as anonymous as possible at this time to avoid getting barred before we reach the door.
Naturally, investors will be privy to this information.
Q: Is there a reason not to post the proof? ... Perhaps you are concerned casinos will change their shuffles to the ones you can't beat?? Shuffle tracking is great theory, but becoming/finding a successful player is much more difficult.
A: We are certainly worried that the shuffle will change if our method becomes public. It might not change to a shuffle that's impossible to beat, but a new shuffle would require adjusting the technique and re-training, which is time consuming. Tracking is difficult, but we've adjusted our system to be as easy to learn as possible. You could probably get at least 1 of the 2% advantage with only 100 hours of practice.
Thank you for all the serious posts, and we look forward to hearing from you.
