From your description, it seems that casinos will never be profitable for you. Staying home is probably the best course of action.

Don't gamble any more. Don't think about gambling any more. Don't read about gambling any more. Don't come up with any new rules. Just stop.

And get some professional help - Gambler's Anonymous if you have access, or a psychiatrist/therapist, or a priest/pastor.

Gambling is like drinking alcohol: a little bit is okay, but when you have no self-control and break rules you set up for yourself, you put yourself and all your loved ones in danger.

Rules, and bones, are made to be broken. If you find yourself breaking self-made rules,it could be the rules are too strict to begin with.
Don't let the bastards get you down.

If you are addicted to gambling you cannot win!

None of this works for an addict. It only works because we are the opposite of an addict. So just don't go there anymore, it's that simple.

A cheaping idea than adjusting your ATM (automatic teller limit) limit would be to avoid the casino.

A tale from the Felt

This could be dumb youth, a gambling addiction or a combination but here is the story.

It is early AM and I am at a California Indian casino that permits gambling by 18 years olds.
I sit down during the shuffle at a table with on other player who perhaps looks 16-18 to me but has about $5,000 in chips in front of him. A few hands into the shoe his buddies come by, remind him he has class tomorrow and should be going. He explains that he is down $3,000 and needs to get it back before leaving.
Over the next half hour he steams his way through and loses every cent of the $5,000 in front of him and is crying at the table. He tells the dealer that he has just lost the tuition money that his father gave him, can not pay for school and can not face his father. Of course there is nothing that anyone will do for him, it is a casino afterall, but the first thing that hit my mind was that I put two kids through college that I trusted completely but yet I always made the check out to the college.

There is no perfect age to say when someone is mature enough to gamble, some people never are but 18 is too young and 21 is too young for many. The other arguement alway swill be that you though old enough to die in war and vole.

Marius, my advice is not to be this kid again. Go finish school, get your career started and then if some time later, if your brain tells you that you have learned from this lesson, you might give gambling a very small shot. If those urges to push and push are still there, never go back and get help if you even think about it.

This really is a bad start. It is not ap playing it is not for fun anymore it is taking over your life. When this happens you will lose all your mony... in poker its called tilt. You are on full life tilt already and are in college. Please for yourself your family and us get help. Dont make limits on your credit card you will find ways around it. Just stop and maybe years down the road try it out but if it happens again stop.

Yeah we all have lost a lot of money... the difference is its our spending money not money we live on. Im also 18 and would never gamble my tuition as ihate17 stated. Save youself a liflong trouble and stop. Theres other things you can do for fun instead of gambling. Seriously go play paintball it costs some $$$ but not nearly as much as the casino and is 100x the excitment.
