When temperatures drop below freezing, a wood frog freezes, too —
but survives. Researchers hope to learn how.

WASHINGTON — This is the way a wood frog freezes: First, as the temperature drops below 32 degrees, ice crystals start to form just beneath the frog's skin. The normally pliant and slimy amphibian becomes — for lack of a better word — slushy.

Then, if the mercury continues to fall, ice races inward through the frog's arteries and veins. Its heart and brain stop working, and its eyes freeze to a ghostly white.​

The main temple of Enki was called é-engur-a, the "house of the lord of deep waters"; e-unir or é-abzu, the "house of Abzu" (the house of far waters), the underground area of sweet waters ...marshlands [frog city] that surrounded the mound on which the temple to Ebki at Eridu was built....

Exactly - dinosaurs I'm not so sure about, but advanced reptilian biped ETs, those were the progenitors of mankind. zg
