He is saying that his CV sim doesn't show an advantage until +4. zg
As I understood it; he's saying the KO software said that. CV software would not say that.

The book says +2. But with S17, DAS 70% penetration you can start raising at +1.
The betting ramp they recommend in the book using their 2D IRC of -4, you bet 1 unit at 0 and lower, 2 units at +1, 3 units at +2, 4 units at +3, and 5 units at +4 and higher.

OH, they're using KO software? zg
Yes, apparently there are problems with the simulator on it since me and rmi227 both had similar problems. However, I have not had any problems when using the software for playing. I havn't even used the sim until now.

Remember the thread where the guy couldn't get the EV past 0.70% or something like that? The faulty simulator could explain that as well...

i don't know how the sims you ran work, but with an IRC of -4
you will have an advantage in the first deck of a DD game with an RC of +1 and a disadvantage in the second deck of a DD game. so if your sim was looking at the overall edge, not the deck specific edge then RC = +1 should be roughly equal to 0.

but a KO RC of +4 equals a hi/lo TC of +4, so at KO +3 or KO +2 you should most certainly have an edge.

reKo ramp?

I'm looking at the reKo ramp which suggests an increase at 0 RC for 2D. Am I missing something? I have to say that as someone who is not gifted with a head for numbers, more for processes, I'm liking reKO as a simple introduction to the whole card counting/optimal betting strategy. Still, it's challenging to watch the large fluctuations at even an obscenly high + count. I'm using the strategy trainer on this site for practice and I assume that's a reliable tool?

The DD IRC for REKO is -5 instead of -4 for KO. So a REKO count of 0 is the same as a KO count of +1.
