Did you want to lose 6 hands in a row? You played a whole 3 hours and are basing your "theory" on 3 hours play? Hey it's like I said, there weren't any card counters to screw up the flow and the rest of the ploppies ate up the bad cards. I don't know how could you not figure that out on your own since you have everything else figured out.

They have recently started showing cards before opening the tables in the high limit area. So I started to play there again.

I got three blackjacks in a row. On a single deck game. On the same shuffle. I guess the casino was cheating themselves.

Not sure if mikeinjersey is talking about an Automatic Shuffling Machine, which I would assume since he used the word automatic...but if it is a CSM, then there is merit. A CSM is better than an ASM, or a hand shuffled shoe for that matter.

Cheaters cheat. It's in their nature to cheat. If you believe they are cheats, why in the world would you continue to engage them in play? Maybe they have had too many complaints, so they have switched to a different way to cheat.

Maybe deep down you suspect that you are being overly paranoid, but rather than blame yourself for losing, you have ascribed the blame to them. That's the only reason I can imagine you would return to the cheater's game, unless maybe the rush of gambling is overwhelming to you. In the latter case, you should definitely seek professional help. :)

It lowers the house edge obviously. At a full CSM table, one could expect to find a slower game then certain shoe tables.

i mean okay sure but you realize that when a shuffle takes like 3-5min it's pretty much always going to be slower on average right?

Isn't it a very slight change in HE? I cannot see how it could offset the increased hands per hour, all other things being equal.

What about a table in which players can play behind? Combine that with that specific table being the lowest stakes available, meaning it's always full. Under normal circumstances I agree with you. All I'm saying is there is situations you can find where the very minimal decrease in HE can be brought into play.

The cut card effect removal is trivial, especially in relation to the increased hands/hr. However, a flat betting basic strategy player is far better off playing a $10 CSM than a $25 shoe, and is probably better off with a full $10 CSM than a 3 way $10 shoe.
