Rather overbet, but your spread was nice for a Wonging game. Good work! Remember that session when you have a really bad one.
The only reason I went to the 1-9 is because I was up so much....

Does your friend AP and if so what was his BR?

I may have been overly critical. Death, what is /was your BR strategy? Replenishable? Make of Break? Lifetime? Etc. zg
$1,000 walking in.... Another $800 at home, nowhere near enough, but I wasn't gonna jump out of a perfectly functioning airplane....

You wrote thank you Renzey. Do you use the KISS III count?:joker:
Yes, I had bought the book and practiced it for almost 3 months... I count two cards at a time, I find it easier than the KISS I and II for some reason... I sometimes missed cards or over counted cards using the I and II, so I just jumped to III

I love magic nights like the one you described. The only thing is,is when it happens to me it's in the low counts with min bets out. I love to hear sucess stories even if they may be short lived.
Funny you say that because when I was back counting a few weeks ago, I kept seeing all these Blackjacks, and stuff coming out on low counts, and thinking, WTF?!? The problem, I think, is the way they shuffle or something. If I pulled as many 21's as the dealers, I'd be arrested :)... I watched one table shell out 13 face cards/tens out of 16 cards on the table.... Now, that cannot be an accident... It's like they somehow keep all the high cards together so they can be rid of them quickly....

$1,000 in pocket, $15-$120 (1-8) bet spread, when I was up a few thousand, I went to a 1-9 spread ($240 max bet)....
I dont understand spreads right then. I thought a 1-9 would be $15 - $135?

Congrats anyway Deathang, you had a terrific variance.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine bought in for $200 on a DD we often play together, he walked after 12 hours of play with $14,400. The dealer was busting and he was winning like crazy, that is what I call magic.:) He worked his way to $200 a hand on a $5 to $200.

Did you get any looks from the pit? I didn't know casinos would ever tolerate wins like this.

Hmmm

Okay... here's a little update. Went back a few times with some friends, mostly to eat at Hard Rock, but ended up playing.... Of course....

$125.00
$310.00
$185.00

On three different days, respectively...

On the last session, the $185.00, I went to war. I was up around $200, then magickly down $500 (including the $200 I won) and finally back up with a profit of $185.... This feels very dangerous....

Bet spread is $15 to $75
In an 8 decker?? Not nearly a wide enough spread. Try $5-75 or so. But yes, you're right. It is very easy to have several hundred dollar swings in a single shoe, and if you don't have an adequate bankroll, it is dangerous to play at all.

edit: With your bankroll, an 8 deck game with S17, DAS, RSA, LS, and 80% pen, using a $15-75 spread, you have an RoR of over 24% and a win rate of $15/hr if you do everything perfectly. Change your spread to $5-75 and the RoR drops to 4% while the win rate goes up very slightly. $10-75 will give you about the same win rate with an RoR of around 12.5% or so. All of these assume that you play perfectly and that that you bet perfectly with an optimal ramp. The point, though, is that you need a wider bet spread than 1-5 on an 8 deck game, and if you keep your top bet the same, you won't be hurting your winrate.
