4/4.5 decks

Huh? I play BJ almost every frickin day and lose over a thousand in a session all the time. Even as my graph inches upward I get slaughtered all the time. But you, somehow miraculously, on your stinky boats, with 4 decks cut off , BARELY lose at all, EVER, while relieving them of large amounts of cash almost every time. Sure dood. Ok. I'm stupid..your smart. Your the best..I'm the worst.. Your very good looking, I'm not attractive.. etc..
I said first time posting here, so forgive if i don't word **** right. when i said penetration at the 6 deck table was 4-4.5 decks i meant they play 4-4.5 deck and cut off 1.5-2 decks. I not stupid to play at a table that cuts off 4-4.5 decks.

I never said i never lose. There are of course times I have taken a beating. Generally I bring $1000-$1500 with me on any given cruise and play the $25 table with a max bet of $300. The vast majority of trips, on Opus, the Midnight Gambler, and The Southern Elegance(never went on the Majesty) I have lost no more than $200 or won $500 - $1000.

I pretty much play here or at Mohegan Sun. I don't know why but it seems when I play here I tend to do a lot better in shoes with very positive true counts than I ever do at Mohegan.

Also be sure to ask for a pass for next time, or if you are a regular they will give you a pass good for two weeks. They no longer give out free passes to anyone, passes are good for $25 off admission, you still need to pay $10 which covers the port taxes($25 on sat. night cruise)

The food is edible, not great. The DJ is nothing special. Its a boat, so if its rough and you get seasick, just stay home don't complain if you get sick. And if Eddie sits at your table, take a break.

And there have been plenty of times I have lost that stake and sat upstairs waiting for the boat to get back, but they are the exception to the rule.

psip, to be honest I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about, or you're just BSing.

First off, mohegan's one of the crappiest places to count cards, they cut at least 2 decks off a 6 deck shoe and are very strict about it.

And a comment like "you seem to do better on positive counts" at one place versus another proves you don't know crap about variance.

Well whatever you think about my skills as a player here's the lowdown on the game

There are about 12 regular blackjack tables, plus a blackjack switch, and match the dealer and a ocean's(spanish)21 table. Table min/max are $10/$200 at most tables, plus 1 $25/$300 table, and 1 $50/$500 table(not always open but usually will on request, or they will make $25 table $25/$500 on occasion). There are occasionally $5/$100 during day cruises on slow days. $25 is no-mid shoe usually only on request of the players, $50 always is. All tables have now gone to 6 decks though 8 deck discard trays remain. Penetration is very good, 1.5 or less cut off especially if you say something to the dealers/toke, they will push cut card further back. Standing on soft 17, double on anything, double after split, no re-splitting of aces, Late surrender offered, blackjack pays 3-2, can split to 4 hands and they will only let you split tens if it is an actual pair, not any 2 tens.

Opus casino update - out of business/hiatus

FYI, OPUS has ceased operations and will not be sailing until at least the spring. Apparently have new investors. Boat could not have been doing well though. They went from 14 sails a week in winter to 7 in summer.
