Could I use my wife being at the sme table as me to our advantage?

In positive counts we should spread to multiple hands if possible. But even if she's not counting, if she mirrors my betting, it would get more money in play when the count calls for it. I wouldn't think this would draw as much attention as two perfect strangers raising their bets in lockstep. Thoughts?

They will figure you out a lot faster if you are both betting the same all the time. It's pretty obvious after a while.

hop, if you want to use your wife's play to your advantage it would be best if she didn't play during negative or neutral counts. you could signal her in when a advantageous count presents. then she and you could bet the same amount only you would want to have the total of your two bets be about 150% the size of what your optimal bet would have been had you been playing by your self.

If she's not at a blackjack table, she's sitting at a one armed bandit, so any winnings we'd realize from her playing positive counts would be wiped out (and more) through her slot play. Ideally I'd like to teach her how to count and have her play on a different table, Wonging out for a few hands when the count turns sour, but betting mistakes relative to the count are more costly than flat betting BS.

correct that would be ideal......hopefully she would come to understand how mistaken it would be to continue with the slots.

Well, enough of that. I've got about two months to work on her counting skills before we make another run. Last night she took almost two minutes to count the deck, but that was her first time attempting. I'm sure it took me that long or even longer when I first started.

Teammates at the table can be very effective but you need to think about it more. You do not want to mirror each other, and you do not want the casino to know you know each other, and the big player thing is not what I am thinking about. Teammates at the same table though is perhaps something that helped run those magical Mindplay machines out of Vegas. The machine could not figure it out, so neither could the pit.

Are we talking about uneven betting at this point, perhaps me betting appropriately with the count,and her lagging behind a bit, so that while we're not mirroring each other, we're still getting more money in the circle?
