So I'm starting out this game with a modest bankroll of $300. Yeah ROR is a bitch but with a $1 unit 1-12 spread it's manageable although the payout is ****.
The game: 6D DAS H17 LS 75%-80% pen

I have Casino Verite and am practicing with that until I have a good 50 hours under my belt. I can count a deck in 25 seconds, know most of basic strategy and have decided to memorize the casino verite spreadsheet with Hi-Lo indexes instead of the more general illustrious 18.

I've decided to wong tables with $5-$15/$20 bets when he count is moderately high to establish a better bankroll. I'm $220 down after overbetting my bankroll for 3hrs on my first night so I'm taking it slow from here on out. My next outing will be when I can drill BS with indecies like a machine and have 50hrs of sims tucked away.

Am I doing this right? Is there anything else I should do to mitigate risk?

well its plain and simple you need a larger bankroll.

your looking at a 40%+ ror with >+1=0 +2= $5 +3=$10 +4=$15 +5=20

and then you get at most $3 per hour

go find a couple grand at least then maybe....

I think with a little more practice, say counting a deck in 22 seconds and with a larger bankroll of around $1800 you would find yourself winning a little more cash.

I wouldn 't call $300 modest. Good point A.Conti, i think 1800 dollars will be the exact amount.

your playing tables where the table min is one dollar? what is the table max? do they make you pay a premium to play?
i started with $300 bankroll. was incredibly lucky to get it up to a decent sized bankroll.

nope, i was a working stiff. but i did have to dig out from under some crap credit card loans i managed to bury myself under  before my gambling interests even were a pipe dream. i'd like to believe i wouldn't gamble if i had to resort to borrowing to do it.

Do not put any more money down until you know ALL of BS down pat. That will mitigate some risk.... Don't attempt to count until you have this done.

What's a few bucks for cost when you have a money making system. It's almost a crime to take the casino's money when you have a good system. It's like having a printing press in your house. Money for free.
