Hi, I'm new to the forum

Just turned 18 a few months ago, but been practicing card counting since I was 14. Living in UK means I can now legally enter a casino to gamble. I know all this, I'm sure there isn't anything else, but call me up on it if there is.

BS for my game (second nature)
Card counting (1 deck = 23 seonds, perfect through 6)
Indices
Table min 2 pounds, max 200 pounds
85% pen
1-13 spread
30K bankroll (spare cash, thats pounds not dollars)
ROR - practically 0%

I might have left stuff out, let me know if you want to know anything else...

Team of 5, 2 BP, 3 spotters, all childhood friends.


Table rules:

Double 9,10,11, all soft A hands
Split any pair
3:2 blackjack
Insurance 2:1
DAS
H17
6 decks
85% pen


What could we be expecting to make?? Any input would be great, thanks guys :cool2:

Depending on the size of the casino, and since you sound relatively inexperienced in card counting, you could definitely make more money playing individually and splitting profits. Usually for team play to be worthwhile you need a considerably large bankroll (although I just realized your BR is in pounds...).

yes - for a 30k bankroll (i dont care if its in dollars, pounds, or euros), Every Man For Himself team concept is much better and easier logistically (no need for signals, spotters, etc). as long as you each play at different tables, you can each play like you have a 30k bankroll and get to the "long run" fairly quickly with 5 teammates. BUT while you seem like you may be able to count perfectly through a shoe quickly, can your other 4 teammates do it just as well?

can't give you any type of hourly expectation because while you mention a 1-13 unit spread, you dont mention what that minimum bet is in pounds or how you increase your bets at each count (ie your bet ramp). you also need to mention which count system you use.

Drill the other guys on your team until they can count in their sleep. And if anyone is incompetent, don't let him play. Drill his ass until he's ready, or give him the boot; incompetent players will kill a team. I'd rather have 2 sure players than 5 maybes.

this question raises a red flag when considered against all the points you posted and are apparently knowledgeable about. point being this is a question you need to be able to answer independently of asking others. access to a sim would help as would further study of this issue.

It sounds like a really babyish question, how much could we make, and I didn't mean to come across like that. My cousin is in the team and he can count as well as me, so maybe we should cut it down to two, and play individually? By the question how much can we make, i dont have access to any software that will work it out, so is there an equation? Any ideas on the bet spreading 1-13, what should the 1 unit bet be? the minimum of £2 is a bit low, i was thinking maybe a minimum bet of 5-10 pounds?

with a 30k roll think of the purchase of a simulator as an investment in your game plan. some one once likened it to the question how much would you invest in a college education. your intellectual pursuit of the answer to these questions will help fortify your overall understanding.

About 15-30 pounds per hour per big player playing. Using the old rule of thumb of "one or two units per hour).

However, if you were using a spotter/big player concept, then the spotters would be betting 2pound/hand, and the BPs would be playing 200 on multiple spots.

Is this really just one casino you're talking about? Combined with the fairly low stakes, I would imagine a team might burn it out quickly.

Well, the general formula is: Expected win = % advantage X number of hands X bet per hand.
For example: 1% X 100 hands X £5 = £5
Is that what you were looking for?

When you’re spreading, it’s useful to know what your average bet is, as well as your advantage. That’s where the sim software comes in handy.

Without going into RoR, I would imagine team play in the UK would be quite difficult. One of the main reasons being you have to be a member to get in, so they know who is in the casino at all times. Of course, if you have underworld connections and can get fake ids, it's a different story. lol

Yes, I admit having to show ID and become a member at the start is a problem, but going to Oxford college/university i could probably get fake IDs off someone there. But i dont wanna get into that. Canceler, thanks for the equation, and there are about 15 casinos all with these rules and similar table limits, so thanks guys I was thinking of getting lots of my friends who dont gamble to get their membership cards, and then just use theirs... would this work??
