No winners ever?

So are you predicting things or not? You seem to be confused on that point. Do you actually think that you can predict streaks? And is this the same simulation program that miscalculated the proper basic strategy?

One of the many statistics accumlated by the simulator was the frequency and length of win and loss streaks.
So, it can be predicted that in one million hands X strings of Y length will occur.
No one can predict when they will occur. And by the way the simulator did not miscalculate basic strategy.

can you post some of those statistics in summary form?

If, as you posted, your sim says that you should double 11vA in a six-deck, S17 game, it is incorrect.

But there is variance there so it cannot be predicted. In a million hands you will probably not see exactly X strings of length Y. Most of the time you will see either more or less, and occasionally you will see many more or less. It cannot be predicted (which you seem to admit, but later retract). To make matters worse, the actual number of wins and losses is likely to get farther apart even though the percentages are approaching the expected rates. And even if you could predict those strings perfectly in a millions hands, what good would that do an average player?

I'll say it again: This forum would be so much easier if people understood the Gambler's Fallacy.

Step 1: Go into a casino at like 4:30am when everything is slow and everyone is tired.

Step 2: Find an absent minded dealer.
It can even be simpler then you suggest. I had a dealer pay me off with three greens against three reds.
