The American Casino Guide states that there is more than 800 blackjack games offered in ND. What are these games like? Rules? Number of decks? etc.

Is this for real? There is no catch like dealer wins push? S17 4-deck game with low minimums. This very well be my next vacation spot.

I heard that these games are also run by the state and the dealers are state employees. Is this true? also, how is the pen?

The max bets are 25. I found the pen was around 75%. I don't know if there run by the state, I do know the proceed from each game go to different organizations.

With my bankroll, spreading 1-25 on an S17, 4-Deck dollar game sounds great :toast:

But, yeah what about the penetration. If it is run out of a bar, I honestly doubt that they'd see any problem with dealing way into the endzone.

Even if they deal to a half deck, $25 max means maybe $20 an hour? Probably not even that much.

These games can be in rather rough, tough places, not for the faint of heart.

The games around, in, Bismark are not bad, other than that............


There is no way you should go there just to play BJ.:)

heads up @360 hands/hr is $50. but let's say realistically it will be 240hands/hr @$40. but if you get some drunk idiot or a full table @60hands/hr, just forget it.

There are also a few Native casinos in ND. I know Dakota Magic has 6d with varying degrees of pen, and a DD with h17 d10 das and 60% pen.

My understanding is that ...

They expect you to swill beer and bet a buck or two;
and if you actually bet much AND win, they can, and will, '86 you.

Most place's run a 4 deck stay on soft 17. Min.$1 Max $25 In Grand Forks and Fargo can find a few places were you are the only one playing. Most of the time there is just one dealer and no pit boss so very little heat.

nd games

played at a bar called chips(of all things) last summer....4d s17 min 75% pen sometimes better. But $25 max is kicker. We were on a golf trip. Good game though...zero heat
