Flat Betting and Wonging out...
Rounder...Where did you get your information that flat betting and wonging out in negative counts produces a small profit? Did you read this somewhere or is this your experience?
Golfnut...Patience, Persistence, and Determination...Well I also am in a down time in my playing. This past weekend I played AC strictly wonging in during positive counts and just couldn't get the expected cards. I probably made one in five hands when count was high and worked like hell attempting to find shoes worth playing. It just wasn't meant to be. I agree with you that a spotter or two would greatly increase advantage, and I am currently teaching two family members basic strategy and a simple count sytem identifying positive shoes. The lesson I brought home from AC is to never again play 8D games, and avoiding AC on weekends.
I was on a good two month run recently that ended this past weekend giving half of it back on positive counts. Fortunately BR in not a problem and will play thru current downturn. As I said many times prior, I'm a recreational player, but not one that will sit thru a shoe during negative counts. I understand the cards turn but I'll wait an hour for a positive play. On Friday night I walked the floors of three casinos for three hours attempting to wong in positive shoes and most of the times that the shoe turned positive it was filled with players and I didn't want to ask someone to place a bet for me. Maybe I should become more aggressive about asking someone to place a bet down with their bet in these situations.
