The Lucky ladies side bet can be quite profitable if you make it at the correct time. Most card counting systems will havean index for it and it is vulnerable to steering techniques as well.

Streak of PPs

We all have our stories but one night recently I'm playing pitch and 2 players at the table are making this bet almost every round. The guy hits it twice (for $250 each) that evening and the lady hits once... the suited pair... and I would have hit it once had I been placing the bet. They were also getting unsuited pairs by the boatloads. Almost made me start making the bet. Still it is a sucker bet in the long run.
Yeah, OB, I don't play the long-shot PP either but I admit to being tempted by the devil at times too; like when a PP has not appeared anywhere on the table for a long time, and then all of a sudden, for some reason a streak of them may appear out of the blue, sometimes landing on one box 3 times in 10 rounds. Now if that happens to that person, no amount of math is going to convince them that PP is a bad bet! (This may qualify for Sonny's regular Gamblers' Fallacy lessons...)

Casino Player listed 2 Queen of Hearts with dealer Blackjack as paying 1000/1in his casino. What are the correct math odds against this sidebet being successful?:cat:
