pondering a few stratagies

I have been thinking about these ideas for a while and wanted some opinons from you guys.

My first idea is to walk around the bj pit backcounting at tables, when the tc gets to +1 or above, then sit down at the table put down some decent money then play out that hand and keep playing at that table with the same decent amount bet on every hand as long as the tc is +1 or above. When the tc gets below +1 leave the table, and go do the same thing at another table and do that over and over. This idea is to only win(mostly).

My second idea isn't as good in my opinon and the first one, this one doesn't involve back counting. you just sit at the table betting 1 unit and when you have any advange whatsoever you raise your bet to 2 units wheather if the rc in a 6 deck shoe is +1 or the tc is really high. this idea is to keep a close betting spread.

It's a Start

The first plan would work and is a good start, it can be better.

The second plan is weak. It gets better if you leave once it starts to get negative and if you spread your bets a little more. The spread can still be close.

Your second idea isn’t going to work. You are not going to win enough during the few positive counts to overcome all the bets you lose during the negative/neutral counts. You will not be playing with an advantage.

The first idea is good if you have a very small bankroll. Otherwise you will win a lot more (and much faster) if you spread your bets at least a little. If you are only playing positive counts then you can get away with a small spread like 1:8 if you need to. Blackjack Attack has an entire chapter devoted to this topic. It has charts for just about every game and every basic bet spread. It will give you a good idea of how much you need to spread in a particular game in order to get a decent advantage.

Thing is about your first idea, sit down at a table with your plus count, bet a bit, win or lose, after the hands have been dealt you may have to stand up and walk to a different table, i doubt the casinos would appriciate you jumping from table to table every couple of hands winning each time (that you may not though as you are only jumping in with +1).

It probably would work, though i guess you would be shown to the door pretty quickly.

Try back counting for 6-8 hours....boring. Addionally, some casinos who do allow mid-shoe entry will limit the bet, normally to a max of $300. I would also point out that you might find back play behind a solid player to be more table friendly since the buzzards who land during high counts are frowned on by the other A/Ps. In short, Wonging is not for everybody...certainly not me!
