Recommended Counting Books (Beginner)

I'm going on a road trip with some friends next week and will have A LOT of time in a car to read and practice counting.

I know basic strategy and the basics to blackjack, but I need a good start into counting. I ran a search here for threads suggesting books and didn't find anything too updated, so I wanted to just ask what book you guys would recommend.

So if you had to recommend 1 book to a beginning counter, what would it be? From the looks of browsing, the HiLo counting method seems to be the most profitable for the effort, so I'll probably learn that.

If you are only interested in learning how to count cards, you really don't need to read any book. There is enough material on the net for you to give you a good start. I suggest you start with hi-lo. After that I would suggest Professional BJ (Stanford Wong), and BJ Attack (Don Schelesinger).

Beginner or not all you need is Blackjack Bluebook II if what you want to do is win money at the casino.

"Blackbelt in Blackjack" by Arnold Snyder.

Start with this one no matter what anyone else tells you.

Haha I love the strong conflict in suggestion :).

I'll get them all! Really though I have BJBB II and ordered Blackbelt in Blackjack.
